Get Washed Away With Ailsa and the Seahorses

The latest from Ailsa and the Seahorses is a dreamy acoustic-pop track with jazz undertones and a catchy hook that sticks with you hours after the song has ended.

"That Old Moon" has a way of washing you away into its atmosphere. The song has a life of its own and has an allure to it that's hard to pinpoint. But it's certainly there. Maybe it's Ailsa's double tracked vocals giving the song a little bit of an Elliot Smith feel. Maybe it's the fact that it keeps your mind afloat just on the surface of it's sounds.

The single serves as a wonderfully bewitching example of a youth in contemporary songwriting and how freeing it must be to release music these days.

Upon listening to the track you get the idea that this band is indeed made up of some seasoned musicians with a great ability to blend maturity and indie-pop together without a hitch.

The accompanying video for "That Old Moon" is also an excellent watch as it takes on a frolic in the woods with the songwriter and you get to see her bright character as a person.

"That Old Moon" sets the stage for Ailsa and the Seahorses and we can only hope there is plenty more where this came from.
