Prepare to indulge in all of the post-punk bliss of Mallsex.
The latest single release called "Take", grabs those darker elements of darkwave and brings them together with 90's alt-rock guitars and just the right amount of gloom to make your day.
Inventive and fun, the song's layered guitars and droned vocals bring a great atmosphere and attitude creating something that drips with that stylings of Manson, Joy Division, and peppers on some Kills to hone it all in.
You can absolutely hear how much fun these guys had making this song.
"Take" gives me the warm feeling I had growing up in NY driving along the streets of Brooklyn, listening to bands at 2am on the way back to my friends apartment. It kinda feels like home. And that is one feeling that doesn't come a long through new music these days. But Mallsex pulls it right off.
The song holds true to all the right aesthetics of what Post-Punk is all about and it's nearly perfectly done.
