Tam Tam has been releasing a string of powerful and heartfelt songs and videos for some time. One of the more recent ones is dubbed "Make It" is an uplifting and inspirational R&B world fusion song that really shines.

The track features all kinds of outstanding percussion and passionate vocals along with a radio pop sound that feels good to listen to.

These are the types of songs that are meant to spread joy and positivity and they do exactly that to whomever you show it to.

An impressive array of styles and bringing pop, ethereal, world, R&B, and even jazz undertones together make sure there is always a surprise around the corner with each new song.

Tam Tam's staple vibe is always there bringing sunshine and empowering the listener throughout deep grooves and alluring songwriting.

The accompanying videos for most of these tracks are also quite colorful and vibrant just like the songs they were made for and you always walk away from watching them feeling a little better.

Tam Tam is a powerful personality and soul as she sets out to change people's spirits for the better and the music is a shining example of her work.

With such great songs released, we wanted to have a chat with the artist to talk about where it all comes from.

TSWS: Okay so let's start with "Make It". This track has a really great sound and touches on an

important subject. Where did this song come from?

Tam Tam: In March 2020, at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, I wanted to express to everyone

that the most important thing during times of crisis is to stay close to family and friends,

as well as to stay strong.

Following the release of the track, I founded Make It Balance Foundation, a nonprofit

organization with a mission to support small businesses and families negatively

impacted by pandemics, natural disasters and other hardships. We presented the Make

It Balance Virtual Music Fest in August 2020. I never knew Make It would bring about

such uplifting movements; this is the power of positive music.

TSWS: I am hearing some different songwriting styles between some of your songs like "Make

It", "Positively Beautiful" and others. What artists really influenced you as a songwriter?

Tam Tam: I started my music career at the age of 15 as a female reggae artist, formerly known as

Minx, and my first feature was on a Jungle Music track and then I joined the Wizdom

Worldbeat Reggae Band at the age of 17, playing keyboard and singing. I was writing

and listening to both Roots Reggae and Dancehall Reggae at the time. I have always

loved Pop Music and Hip Hop, as well.

There are so many talented artists but I wanted to be creative and focus on my own

sound and my own message. I have evolved and decided to change my artist name to

Tam Tam. My evolved sound incorporated more versatility in singing with a fusion of

Pop, Trap, Hip Hop, EDM and Reggae.

TSWS: Your songs really seem to have such a positive message behind them. Very

inspirational and uplifting. How did all of this start for you?

Tam Tam: My music supports a clear message. Stay positive. Stay focused. Stay balanced. It is

so important to make music that can resonate to the younger generation and young

adults with hopes to influence them to stay focused.

TSWS: What do you think is next for you?

Tam Tam: I have a new track called Inhale Exhale out now on my family’s independent record

label, Star Balance. The track is currently streaming on platforms such as Spotify,

Amazon Music, Apple Music and Tidal. The music video premiere is happening live on

Friday, February 5 th at Facebook.com/tamtamsings and will be available on my

TamTamMusicVEVO channel on February 6 th .

A remix of this song is currently in the works with more of an EDM vibe.

I will continue to promote my mission of Music and Balance. I feel that both are equally

important.

Writing and creating more music is definitely in the plans. My goal is to make music that

remains ‘relevant.’

TSWS: What are you doing when you're Not working on music?

Tam Tam: I am a Yoga Instructor and Wellness Motivator. I hold Virtual Yoga Sessions that

anyone can register for at Yoga4livity.com

I continue to design for my athleisure and wellness brand, Yoga4livity.

I also continue to lead and support the mission of Make It Balance Foundation.

You have so many empowering songs out now.

TSWS: What advice would you have for other

up and coming artists trying to get heard?

Tam Tam: I love up and coming artists and connecting with them. I had produced a large-scale

street festival for many years and loved to book up and coming talent on the

performance stages. They should keep pursuing their music career. There are so

many opportunities for promotion and marketing compared to 20 years ago. They

should utilize all the resources that they can and continue to build their fans and

followers. I urge them never to give up on your goals.

TSWS: What is your favorite thing about making music?

Tam Tam: I love the entire process, from songwriting, recording and then performing. I have also

been creating and editing promotions and music videos. Music is one of the things in

life that brings me so much Joy!

TSWS: Do you do any live performances?

Tam Tam: As a Reggae artist, I had performed allover the world, from Japan to Germany, England

and Jamaica, to name a few. My last live performance was in 2007 at B.B. Kings

House of Blues in Times Square, New York City. After a long hiatus, I decided to start

recording again in 2019 and had the intentions to start doing live performances again. I

have done a few virtual performances during the pandemic; however, it is my high

hopes to be able to start doing live performances again soon.

TSWS: It seems like your music is meant to reach and help people. Have you had any positive

personal responses from fans?

Tam Tam: Yes, I have received messages and feedback from friends and fans that were going

through tough times during this pandemic; they say that listening to Make It especially

helped them get through. As a nonprofit leader, I have helped families and businesses

grow and thrive. The positive impact like this is what keeps me making motivational

music and creating impactful opportunities.

TSWS: Before we go, what would you like to say to fans of the music?

Tam Tam: I want to say Give Thanks and Much Love to all the Worldwide Family, Friends, Fans

and Followers for embracing my music and creative evolution. Also, many thanks to

everyone with blogs, music reviews, radio and tv who support my music. If you are a
