A Gracefully Performed Heavy Rock Single from 2AP
A brand new single from 2AP (Two Alien Planets) brings elements of light and dark together seamlessly by weaving lyrics that appreciate how certain, almost simplistic aspects of life can bring such sweetness along with them, and hinting at heartbreak and emotion with a darker tone to it.
What I pick up from the song is that sometimes, when things go wrong, you feel like you've been hurt, or there is actual heartbreak involved; when you're coming out of it, you start to appreciate the little things slightly more. The song brings out a beautiful and almost elegant lushness, and blends that with a harsher, heavier rock tonality, and it feels perfect.
The song carries with it a lot of pop sensibility, and you can tell that these are songwriters who know how to build a song that comes through with a lot of catchy aspects, but also this very real emotional backbone that it was born from in the first place.
I love a track that takes those two elements and brings them together, because it makes the song relatable, but memorable at the same time.

The guitar tones throughout this single r really well put together. They are edgy and have that blend of grunge and alternative, and the vocals are almost smooth and very melodically driving, creating hooks left and right. Even a lot of the melodies you hear throughout the verses are flowing, sort of colorful, but also still carry with them that element of darkness.
Again, it's a song that has a sad underbelly, but showcases a lot of light as well. It's got that brightness in it that leans slightly towards pop rock at times, and the blend of color and edginess is something that makes the song stand out.

Once again, even at its heaviest points, it still has that pop tone. It is a pop song, coated in that alternative soundscape.
The bulk of the vocals on this track are performed by Lenka K, who does an outstanding job of once again layering these harmonies and bringing rises and falls of intensity throughout the course of this single, but her counterpart Jarek H, also does some singing here, especially during some of the bridge section.
This was a great addition because it brings a little bit of a different texture and feel to the song that you just didn't expect.
I feel like they definitely complement each other a lot and were able to pull this off without a hitch.
This is definitely a song that showcases two songwriters who have a real love for their craft, and when I say that, I don't just mean playing instruments or singing; I mean writing songs together.
They create something that has meaning, and this is a perfect example of exactly that.
The track is called "Sweet Harmony", and it's definitely a reminder of the little things. Paying attention to those things that you only realize in hindsight. I should also mention that the drumming on this track is outstanding. The drums had such brilliance to the song because they're not just straightforward. They really help those builds and let the song feel very alive and breathing.
