ALBORN’s “Violent” Is Chaos on Camera, Hooks in the Head
ALBORN’s new single “Violent” comes wrapped in dirt, distortion, and duct tape — but don’t let the wild,
backyard-shot video fool you. Beneath the dust and denim is a track built to stick.
Hailing from Northern Illinois, the alt-metal four-piece leans all the way into their raw edge visually — but
musically, “Violent” is sharp, structured, and undeniably catchy. The band stays locked, and frontman Justin
Taylor delivers a vocal that rides the line between grit and groove. It’s aggressive, but accessible — the kind of
chorus that sneaks into your head by the second listen and doesn’t leave.
The video, shot and edited by the band, is another story. It's unhinged in the best way — chaotic, loud, a little
reckless, and clearly real. You can feel the gravel under the tires and the volume bleeding into the camera. It’s
a portrait of ALBORN’s world — unfiltered, full throttle, and just a little scorched around the edges.
That balance — between heaviness and hook, between control and chaos — is what makes “Violent” click. It’s
not trying to be an either/or band. ALBORN can throw down and pull you in at the same time.
And that’s oftentimes harder than it looks.
