An Edgy and Heartfelt Pop Single From Alex Goupil
A brand new release from Alex Goupil hits this sort of sweet spot between an edgy pop song and a warming love song with all the bells and whistles that you could possibly want attached.
This track boasts such a unique feel and style and is done with such a cool approach that it kind of takes you back when you first hear it.
But all in all "Falling Apart" is insanely catchy and a very well woven and crisp blend of textures and soundscapes that created its own atmosphere so that you can groove to it.
Throughout the course of this single you get both acoustic and electric guitars that are intertwined with beats and layers of harmonized vocals that all managed to get wrapped up into this one piece. And it has a way of grabbing at you and keeping you right where it wants you.
This is most definitely a pop song and it's got a very bright radio friendliness to it that grabs you from the very beginning because it comes in with this great vocal hook at the start.
The harmonies are smooth and lush as the whole song actually becomes.
This is a very full-bodied release and was done with not only attention to detail, but plenty of heart as well which you can definitely hear from beginning to end.
What else is really cool is that you can tell that Alex has a real love for what he does because you can feel that throughout the song's course.
There was plenty that went into this song and if you think about it, that attention to detail mentioned earlier has more to do with the production and the music itself than anything else.
The arrangement is spot on and ready for the airwaves but all in all this track is brimming with this sort of 90s undertone to it.
This aspect makes it a little bit nostalgic but in the best ways possible.
When you hear it it can make you think of memories that you've had, and some of these memories may have been long forgotten.
So it's kind of cool how this song has a unique combination of being both old school and new school at the same time.
I'm not sure if that was done purposely but, it certainly was an aesthetic that was nailed so I feel like it was probably paid attention to.
This was a vibrant and colorful single release from Alex Goupil and will quickly become part of at least a few of your favorite pop playlists.
