The latest single from Ali Lamb delivers quite a refreshing approach and plenty of honesty along the way, taking a phrase that we've all known for a long time and cutting it clear for everybody.

Life gave her lemons, she's making lemonade. The song is about living life to the fullest, in a sense. It's about taking what you have and living out loud. Living in the moment and enjoying yourself. I love this sentiment because I have always found it important to do my best to try and live in the now. Not really focusing on the past too much or the future too much, which is very difficult.

This single captures the essence of that, and I love the way that she portrays it lyrically because she can be very descriptive, so you paint a picture as the song plays through, giving you a real sense of her personality because of it all.

This track boasts tons of persona and character throughout the entire thing, and I found that to be not only refreshing but really something that was a little rejuvenating.

Of course, that sentiment is also spirited and rejuvenating, in a way, but it's the way that she puts the lyrics together and frames it so that it has this beautiful sort of brightness and positive outlook that lets you connect with it.

"Lemonade" is a gorgeous track musically as it really accentuates that spirited approach by using layers of harmonizing vocals and performances that come through with an awesome presence.

You can tell she had a great time tracking this song. There are just too many great vocal harmonies and different sections that feel good to listen to. Some of them are three or seemingly four-part harmonies, and I love that too. She goes all out and really just creates lush walls of vocal texture for you to soak in.

The music is like a contemporary pop style. It's got a lot of pop sensibility, it is sort of vivacious and vibrant, it does have that brightness and also warmth to it, which lets it come through inviting as well.

It's one of those songs that you remember after it's over. It's because of that sentiment and message that it portrays, but also how it's performed, that does the job.

It just feels authentic. She's not just saying these things for you; she's talking about herself, and although you can connect with what she's saying and make sense of it, it's really about her. Taking the lemons that life gave her and making lemonade out of them. It's about her living her life to the fullest with the means that she has.

Some parts of the song, like memories of your own, pop into your head because she also talks about making new memories, and that just comes right back down to living life in the moment again.

So, for me, the sentiment was loud and clear. And I thoroughly enjoyed that because I feel like we need spirited songs like this. Songs that aren't just cut and dry. They are uplifting and give you a sense of freedom in a way.

It is a very freeing kind of track. It has that breezy tonality, and the whole thing does indeed carry with it the pop-overcoat that it needed to come through properly.

You have a classic beat, four on the floor style, guitars that are crisp and have a certain kind of twang to them, and vocals that are robust and memorable.

Her energy is another thing that lets the song shine with presence.

She portrays such a beautiful energy in the song, and this is also part of what makes it so genuine. Again, she's not just saying these things; she's living them, and I feel like this song is something she had to put out for herself. So she could tell herself, 'Here I am, living in the moment. Appreciating life.'

This track was absolutely addicting, colorful, slightly bubbly, but also passionate. It came through with lots of heart, which is heavily attributed to the vocals, and again, this wonderful pop sensibility that thrives throughout the entire song, letting it come through with these hooks that stick with you.

You do get a sense of the singer-songwriter, acoustic pop aesthetic as well, and those hints of folk in the undertones of everything.

I took a deep dive into some of her other releases, and I'm really glad I did because it showcased a lot of her personality in different ways. Each track shows different sides to her as a person, but still carries with it certain kinds of spirited undertones that feel freeing, like this one does.

I would definitely take a deep dive into this track, and you'll get the same feeling I did, and then check out some of her previous works because it's well worth your time, especially if you take this one.

Texas truck out right now and see what it does for you because it's certainly given me a more positive outlook for the day than I had before.

I think we need more songs that do such things.
