An Inviting New Single from Brad Heller
A new single from Brad Heller manages to give off such an honest undertone while delivering a warm tonality that breeds folk and Americana with a bit of a roots approach, so that the aesthetic of the track feels sort of warm and welcoming in its own right.
One of the things that grabs me about this track is how it incorporates those country elements, like lap steel, that exist throughout the spacious landscape of the whole thing, giving it a little bit more depth and somehow letting you pay even more attention to the lyrics.
"Beyond Footprints & Silence" is a song that touches on a lot of phases in life, to an extent. It's not overly existential, but it recalls feelings, emotions, situations, and how certain aspects of life shape the person that you are.
There's something about this whole thing that ties all of those thoughts together. It looks at life as a whole from a personal perspective and from one that is inviting.
I think that's one of the most perfect words to describe this track. It is very inviting. It lets you into its layers and the subtle, soft, acoustic tonalities of the song beckons vintage folk and country music without leaning too far in either direction.
I definitely feel like Brad is giving a little piece of himself with this single, and that speaks volumes for the artist in general.
This is an old-soul kind of song. It comes from an authentic place and life experience.
It does have that slight southern underbelly and again, that may come from the soft, rolling snare or that lap steel that floats throughout the ether of the track, giving it that hint of spaciousness and adding to some of the emotional pull that it comes along with.
Like I said, this is a song that just feels right. It's a song that you listen to, and start looking back on your own life. By the end of it, you sort of look around and see where you're at right now.
It's amazing how a track like this can be so descriptive and storytelling.
It also kind of boggles me how sometimes you hear a song like this, and you connect with it simply because you can understand some of where the artist is actually coming from with their lyrics.
The song lets your mind go along with the sentiment, and instead of reflecting on his life with him, you end up reflecting on your own life with yourself.
That, to me, is how the connectivity of this song worked.
I also think each person who listens to the song may take it a bit differently, but at the same time, that sentiment is pretty strong, as are those stories and detailed lyrics that tell them.
The vocal performances are the most inviting part of the entire thing.
It's really both the way he sings the song and the lyrics that create the character behind it all.
That is quite a unique attribute.
The song is impactful, and that impact sort of creeps up on you and, by the time the song is over, you've soaked it all in and are amidst your own reflection.

This was a really beautiful song, and it was performed with a graceful approach that again, went back into some roots country and folk, and utilized some amazing instrumentation to give it those added layers, and it left its mark with me.
As far as we can tell, this is a song that will be part of an upcoming album release set for this September.
Unfortunately, we haven't heard any other tracks from this record as of yet, but I'm certainly hoping that I can get my hands on it soon because I am itching to hear what some of the other songs on this record are going to be like or how they might make me feel or think.
I can tell just from this one single that it's going to be a record that will have some kind of effect on me. I'm sure it will make me both feel and think throughout its unfolding, and I'm looking forward to it.
This is for people who like authentic music in the vein of folk, Americana, and country, delivered with a unique and slightly subtle presence that draws you in and seems to hold on to you.
