BRAINLOCK Brings Hardcore Back to the Streets
with "Welcome To The Gutter"

Every once in a while, a new band shows up that doesn't feel manufactured, calculated, or desperate to fit
whatever trend is currently dominating heavy music. Florida's BRAINLOCK is one of those bands.
The trio recently dropped the lyric video for "Welcome To The Gutter," and from the first riff, it's obvious these
guys know exactly what they're trying to do. This isn't over-produced, polished-for-algorithms hardcore. It's
groove-driven, pit-ready music built by people who clearly grew up loving the culture that created it.

What makes BRAINLOCK stand out isn't just the music—it's the attitude behind it. Formed after relocating to
Florida, the band used the opportunity to leave old projects behind and start fresh. The result is a sound that pulls
equally from hardcore, crossover, and thrash influences while still feeling rooted in today's scene.
Welcome To The Gutter hits that sweet spot hardcore fans are always searching for. The riffs move. The rhythms
bounce. The energy feels authentic. It's the kind of song that makes you want to spin kick your friend, stage dive
into a crowd of strangers, and immediately replay it when it's over.

The band's self-recorded approach only adds to the appeal. Instead of sanding off every rough edge,
BRAINLOCK embraced the rawness that has always been part of hardcore's DNA. The self-recorded debut
captures the spirit of hardcore at its most honest—energetic, aggressive, and completely unfiltered.

Lyrically, the song taps into themes that feel especially relevant today: leaving negative situations behind, building
confidence, and refusing to stay stuck in the place that tried to define you. That's part of what makes Welcome To
The Gutter more than just another hardcore track. There's a message beneath the chaos.

The band's connection to Kingside Records has also helped put them on the radar of hardcore fans paying
attention to what's happening in Florida right now. With multiple EPs already planned and a full-length album on
the horizon, it's clear BRAINLOCK isn't treating this as a side project or one-and-done release.
Welcome To The Gutter serves as a powerful introduction to BRAINLOCK and a reminder that hardcore doesn't
have to choose between intensity and fun. The best bands find a way to deliver both.

As the Florida scene continues producing exciting new talent, BRAINLOCK feels like a band worth keeping an
eye on. The roadmap is in place, the songs are there, and the hunger is obvious. If this first release is any
indication, they're only getting started.
