Bree Whitworth Brings Us A Retro Power Ballad
A new single from Bree Whitworth hones in on that classic retro-pop power ballad feel you remember so well and nails that genuine sound and passion without a hitch.
"Mister Wrong" is perfect in so many ways. This is one of those tracks that any one thing that missed the right feel of the aesthetic would mess the whole thing up but it never happens. From the textures of the synths to the vocal performance to the beat, it's all laid out with that warm soft feeling of nostalgic familiarity.
This was beautifully done and comes through with a ton of color and honesty as the track boasts an anthemic undertone that stays strong throughout its course.
The release shows a wonderful and tasteful songwriting style that gives props to artists and producers that are able to focus on what they want sound wise, and really make it happen.
Even upon the first listen you feel like this came out almost exactly how she had it in her head and was able to somehow bring it to fruition.
It portrays what powerful young songwriters can do on their own in these times.
This was such a great mending of sounds and it sounds as if the artist has been writing songs her entire life.
"Mister Wrong" certainly comes from a real place as it is emotionally driven and boasts quite a performance by all parts really and it all breeds that atmosphere you've been missing for so long.
This was an excellent piece done with a flair for a pop culture in creativity and was done right.
Can't say that too often so soak this one in when you can.
It's for sure something you think you heard in the end credits of a film from the 80's. But...you haven't. Outstanding.
