An Honest And Beautiful Single from Caitlin Piper

A new single from Caitlin Piper delivers a beautiful breed of honesty in the form of a song that feels like it blends contemporary pop vibes with this wonderful energy and lush soundscape, as the song is comprised of all kinds of great layers of textures, guitars, pianos, live percussion, and all of this tonality delivers such a warmth that it's almost inviting.

The honesty factor comes in with the lyrics. The lyrics of this track are very open, and a lot of inner thoughts come spilling out for everyone to soak up, which I found also quite beautiful. This level of honesty is a special kind because it's about love and being with someone that you want to be with, but wanting things to have a real chance.

It's a sentiment a lot of us have been a part of or experienced, and the way that she puts things lyrically really puts you in the moment with her. She's able to articulate those feelings into words and music so incredibly well that you automatically connect with them.

It is slightly vulnerable, but I think that's a good thing. Again, she's being open and she's writing music that not only gives you pieces of herself as a person, but is unafraid, and when you listen to songs like this, you feel like it was probably cathartic for her to write and release.

The song is called "Speechless", and again, it just has a beautiful way of connecting and making perfect sense, as you can paint the picture of the situation in your head while the song unfolds.

The music is gorgeous and smooth. The whole thing has a sort of natural flow to it, and with all the instrumentation involved, it feels full-bodied but also still welcoming in every sense.

She's inviting you into a chapter in her life, and that is something special.

Not only that, but if you've been in the situation, you feel like she understands. This is an artist who isn't afraid to put herself out there and really created a song with no walls built around it.

I think that's what true art is all about. Creating something with no boundaries so that you can be free to say what you want. Be able to speak your mind and have it make sense to other people in different ways.

Now, having said all that, I should also mention that of course, I didn't write the song. This is just how I took it. Others may interpret the song a little differently.

For me, the sentiment was loud and clear, and I soaked it in from start to finish.

One of my favorite aspects of this track is the guitar work. There was a lot of attention paid to the tones of the guitars on this release. Actually, there was a lot of attention paid to the tones of all the instruments. But the guitars have a very particular sort of effect to them that feels sort of twangy and a little bit distanced, which adds death to the track.

The drumming is a key factor in having the song flow. It's not in the pocket. It's free form, sort of. It's got this freeing spirit to it, there's a lot of tom drums being used to create the sensation of being alive and breathing, and it really works wonders for how the song opens up and feels so vast.

Between that vastness and emotional backbone, the song feels cinematic in a lot of ways.

This was beautiful, and I suggest listening to it with headphones on simply because this is one of those songs that has a lot of layers of texture going on, and that includes the vocals.

To soak in all of these gorgeous layers, it's best done with headphones on because then you're really put in the moment, and the music sort of swims around in the air that surrounds you.

The vocals are the biggest asset to the track in terms of unleashing that emotional backbone, and it's not over the top; it's just done with heart.

It's something you can tell came from someplace real as soon as you listen to it.

I'm a big fan of any kind of music that gives such an honest piece of the artist. This is a perfect example of exactly that, and upon hearing it, I cannot wait to hear what else Caitlin releases next.

For now, this will surely keep me at bay, and I suggest you go and check this out. It is certainly not something you'll regret.
