The Memories And Hopes Of Caleb Martin Stacy

Caleb Martin Stacy recently released a fresh EP dubbed Who I Used To Be Was Carried Away.
With a title like that you may have guessed this record is incredibly honest, upfront and personal. If so, you guessed right.
The EP is made up of a set of beautiful and very real songs that play out as chapters in the songwriters life.
Like looking back on memories both happy and sad, the record is ambient and wonderous.
Songs give off mass amounts of emotion and are driven by acoustic guitar and vocals. Stripped down but with distance effects that create a floating feeling and a deepening sound.
The songs can be very visual. Stacy paints pictures well with words and sound as the songs swell and haunt a little more with every minute.
Heartfelt, passionate, and with essences of a mix of singer songwriter and emo.
These songs make you think. They make you feel and have the ability to reach down into your inner thoughts and pull something back out that hasn't been remembered in years.
An astoundingly powerful EP, in the end you are almost a changed person.
This was so in depth that you have to almost shake it off when it's over.
Like waking up from a long dream that you can remember parts of as soon as you wake so you fight to fall back to sleep just to hold onto it longer.
Get washed away with Caleb Martin Stacy.
