Casiocenz LP Release Is A Pop Frenzy
A very recent album release from Casiocenz sends you into a sort of pop frenzy with a warm and fuzzy tone and something incredibly welcoming about it all.
Now, when I say something like 'pop frenzy', what I mean exactly is that you have a crazy amount of pop throughout the record that dips its feet into other genres and other forms so that there really are no two songs that are the same.
At the same time, most of these tracks have memorable choruses and feel like the stuff that you should hear on the radio right now.
The album gives a bunch of honesty but also this feel-good approach that makes everything personal but with a great vibrancy that makes you want to show your friends.
This is one album that has no dead zones in it. Even songs that are the meat of the record so to speak, are tasteful and fun with plenty of that addictive personality in both the singing and the music.
"This album actually started back in the mid/late 00’s as various side projects. At the time I was playing in an emo band, so anything that I had been writing that didn’t really fit our style just got tucked away. Some of these songs went into storage for over a decade before I gave them another listen. I never intended to put together an album, I really just wanted a creative space where I could write music in any style I wanted, so I had formed 3-4 smaller side projects over time. Eventually I just decided they should all merge into one, and that was the birth of Party of One" - Casiocenz
Giving this release an 8 out of 10 without question.
