A Fierce But Bouncing Nu-Metal Single from Cell Games

A brutal but bouncing new release from Cell Games recently dropped, and this track doesn't let up for even a second. The energy is completely through the roof from the very first few seconds on through to the end.

This is the kind of track that you feed off of. It's got an infectiousness to it that you just can't turn away from, and it's mainly because of how they blend an element of symphonic metal in with a nu-metal style as well.

They do this pretty seamlessly, which is impressive enough, but believe me when I tell you, this is the kind of song that you literally want to see live because you'll be bouncing up and down in the air the entire time.

The main riff is played with deep, drop B-sounding guitars, single notes, and a crazy rhythm that once again makes you want to jump around. The rhythm is really what grabs you here.

It's that amazing combination of the addictive bouncing rhythm, along with the deep-rooted heaviness coming from those guitar tones that drives the song.

The whole thing is fierce but catchy at the same time.

The vocals are all over the place in terms of the approaches. There are a lot of sections that are done with harmonies, bouncing right along with that rhythm, and then there are fierce screams, breakdowns, and classic hardcore-influenced segments that add even more edginess into the classic metal approach that helped influence the band to come to fruition in the first place.

That main riff has some great little pitch harmonics in there that bend and give some flavor, while those layers of vocals are shining through and delivering elements of hooks left and right.

Meanwhile, the drummer is just destroying. The double kicks are going, and the whole thing just feels intense but in all the best ways.

The bridge and breakdown section has a massive thrashing approach; everyone is just hard and heavy, bringing on every ounce of endless energy they have, and it's just a sonically invasive and aggressive piece of work that once again, still captures this sort of catchy rhythm and melodies throughout its course.

For me, you can hear certain elements of vastness coming through, and that has to do with some of the symphonic elements that happen in the track, which mainly show face in the beginning of the song itself. Some strings come in and add that bit of cinematic underbelly but also give the song depth, which is really fun, and it all works beautifully together.

I love a band that isn't afraid to add these kinds of elements into their tracks. It's smart because there's more to chew on; the song is thicker, more engaging, and it showcases how they're able to combine those melodic attributes with the super heavy, deep notes and ferocious, raw energy.

Those are the kinds of combinations that make great metal songs.

At the start of the track, you get such a cool intro riff that has slide elements to it, and during this part you have a little 808 click track that just kicks the song off before the drums fully come in and the band just starts destroying.

That is exactly how they end the song as well. It's a little reminder of how these guys can hit you with these giant waves of intensity and explosive climactic sounds exactly how they want to.

Again, many would consider this nu-metal, which it is, but they do branch out a bit and showcase some other, more thrashing, gritty elements along with that, and because of that, it makes the song stand out.

This was an absolute killer.

These guys have been dropping tracks since 2021 and certainly paved their path in the Irish metal scene since then.

This is a band that's always evolving, and this single absolutely proves it.

It's called "HELLWORLD", and you absolutely don't want to miss it, especially if you love catchy nu-metal, or just anything heavy that makes you want to jump into the air.

Turn this banger of a single way up.
