The Colorful And Contemporary Pop Rock Of Cole Boscoe
The latest release from Cole Boscoe is a colorful brand of pop rock that blends vibrant sounds and youthful energy to create something incredibly catchy and heartfelt.
The Into The Light EP is alive and breathing and brings to mind bands like Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Vampire Weekend, John Mayer, and plenty more as the artist takes a number of influences and rolls them up into a record that has its own atmosphere.
Songs have soul and are performed with passion and love. The songs do have that gusto of a young songwriter but the songs still come off mature and it's easy to tell it's all coming from real places and emotion.
This is a love record dedicated to someone. It's personal and has the ability to tug at the heartstrings.
Guitars have a wonderfully tasteful twang to them and vocals are full and rich.
This EP sort of makes you want to see him perform live. It has such a huge soundscape to it that allows each song to deliver something a little bit different than the last.
There is character and swagger behind the guitar work and everything feels like the sun hitting your face when you need it to. It's warm and inviting.
Boscoe shines with this release and has enabled himself to build an entire atmosphere with a 4 track EP.
It's excellent to hear the emotion rush through the music itself and he can certainly make a guitar weep when he wants to.
We have a good feeling this isn;t the last we'll hear from Cole Boscoe this year and we certainly hope not as this was an outstanding premier for an artist paving his way in the indie music world.
