Cora Lova Releases A Single That Beckons Desire
A single release from Cora Lova comes through with a theatrical but beautifully orchestrated piece of work that falls into the contemporary pop category, but also branches out into other approaches as she delves deep into the heart of desire.
"Memory" certainly doesn't hold back much in its lyrical approach, as she comes through not just with a sense of vulnerability but also with drive. You can sort of feel the fire that this song came from, and that's very infectious.
This single is about feeling something. The desire to actually feel something, whether it's pain, lust, fear, or joy.
It's a song about wanting to feel alive through emotional facets. Sometimes we feel like there's nothing going on inside of us. We yearn for some kind of feeling or emotion to snap us out of it or let us remember that we're here for a reason.
It doesn't matter what that emotion is. It's just about feeling something.
This is insanely relatable to someone like me. I connected with the sentiment of the track right off the bat, and this is very interesting because it's just how I interpreted the song.
I can totally understand how someone else might interpret it differently. Someone else might feel like this is just an intense sort of love song. A song about yearning for a particular person.
This would also make perfect sense because of how she articulates her lyrics. They seem to dig in and pull out these very detailed and descriptive elements of construct, and she's doing it in a way that sort of beckons you to open up.
So, it can be taken in a few different ways, simply about wanting to feel something.
This is a powerful single that has elements of vastness in its underbelly, again, beautifully orchestrated arrangements.
It's also lush with gorgeous instrumentation, including string sections that really help bring the song to life. The strings sort of push the emotional backbone even further and also add to that theatrical tonality I mentioned earlier.
However, I can't say that I think that theatrical tone doesn't just come from the strings, but also the way she performs vocally.
She's got a very animated singing voice. It is sort of breathtaking. There's an elegance about how she sings on the track that whisks you away and takes you into her mind and thought process for a little while.
It's a song oozing with heart and packed to the room with character.
As I listen to the song more and more, I get the feeling that it is more about having a love for someone and wanting them to tell them about how they became that person. Whether the process was dark or harsh, it doesn't matter. She sees those scars and wants to know how they got there. She wants to know the story behind the person.
I love a song that can be interpreted in different ways, the more you listen to it. It just shows depth.
This is most certainly a song with many layers to it, and when they come together, they create a brilliant atmosphere that wraps around you and pulls you in.
I also dig the fact that you can hear classic pop influence in there as well. She clearly loves certain kinds of singers from the '80s and early '90s and brings that level of intensity and passion to her music as well.
She isn't reinventing the wheel, but rather turning it in her own direction. She's taking that passion and intensity and letting it thrive. She's running free and creating music that doesn't have the same kind of boundaries that you may be used to.
This is a track that asks someone to reach into their memory and tell stories of their life.
She doesn't mind hearing about the scary parts, the fear, the pain, all of it. She just wants to know.
It's very alluring and quite a beautiful piece of work altogether.
Absolutely dive into this song, and you can see exactly what I mean.
While you are at it, I would also suggest listening to some of her previous singles released earlier this year, like 'Touch".
This way, you can also get access to some of the other sides of a personality and Artistry, because she definitely puts a lot of herself into her music.
