An Honest New Single from D3lta

A new single release from D3lta delivers a very personal message, and certainly comes from a space that has a deeper meaning and was likely an important chapter in the artist's life. The track feels like it's about the confusion of where you are in life and just feeling lonely with the person you're with, even though you are with them. You are lonely together.
"Lonely Together" speaks volumes for those who can relate to it. Being someone that can relate to that at times, it hit me pretty hard and this is most likely because of the articulation of the lyrics. This song is lyrically brilliant. It's so brutally honest and can certainly be taken in a few different ways depending on who's listening but, it made perfect sense to me.
The level of description and detail of the emotions involved was epic and just that alone lets me feel connected to the character behind the song and it's been a while since I connected to this quickly.
The music has a beautiful build to it and it's very spacious, vast, and expansive with beautiful guitar work that flows through the song like water and textures that float through the song's ether creating this boisterous atmosphere that you end up really getting attached to and not wanting to leave.
I absolutely love the build-up to the chorus. It's the calm before the storm and, of course isn't this gigantic thing. It's intense yes but it's not over dramatic or overdone. The message gets across, the emotion is present, and the entire aesthetic of the song feels cinematic and engulfing.
There's a brilliant darkness to this track. This comes from its truth. I feel like D3lta, for this was most likely very cathartic to write and release.
Again, for listeners they're going to relate to it a lot depending on who they are, of course.
Now, the music was thriving and again, breathing in and out. There are intense sections but those come in waves at the chorus most of the time and then, the song exhales back down
This had a wonderful arrangement and composition.
This song does have that vast undertone I mentioned earlier and this is part of what makes it feel so cinematic along with all the emotion involved.
I absolutely adore hearing an emotionally driven song like this and just feeling like it came from someplace so effective because of the performances.
You are meant to be engulfed in all the textures and soundscapes given off.
You're also meant to be washed away with them in the end and that's exactly what happens.
There's such a sentiment of loss throughout this track. It's not for the faint of heart because if you've been there or are there, then it's going to hit you pretty hard too.
Of course, this is just how I'm taking it. Perhaps I'm taking it a little too hard? Either way, this is a song that has an excellent portrayal of emotion through music, and is the strongest point of the track as a whole.
This is an indie rock song but again, it's expansive and has a great sonic drive when the time comes.
There is that natural, smooth kind of flow to it as well. Like it wraps itself around you in a certain way.
I loved being able to relate to a song like this and getting emotional listening to it because it makes me feel alive.
As I mentioned before, perhaps it was cathartic for the artist but for the listener, it's so relatable that it can make someone feel like they're not alone if they're in that situation.
We all have different kinds of emotions, thoughts, and struggles that we deal with but not a lot of us know how to articulate them into words let alone words and music so, when we hear a song like this, we automatically understand.
This was absolutely beautiful and certainly took me by surprise but I know I will be paying a lot more attention to D3lta from here on out and looking forward to whatever else is coming from the artist.
You should listen to this song, and do so with some headphones on so you can really take in all of those beautiful layers, textures, and even sentiments that it delivers.
