Departure Lounge Premiers "Australia"

A brand new single out today from Dparture Lounge gives the feeling of a Nick Cave western film that hits some 90's underground rock feels.
"Australia" is a guitar bending, sonically chrome polished, cinematic track that keeps to colorful undertones and builds instrumentation and becomes a massive soundscape that feels theatrical at times.
Pianos thicken the air while backing vocals haunt in the distance all sort of painting a picture for the listener.
There is something about the track that beckons bands like The Smihts. It reminds me of my teenage youth running with high emotion and heart.
I think that's wahts so addicting about this band and this song. It's got a youthful vibe to it. Something that keeps it fresh and raw underneath all of its vibrancy and layered melodies.
It will sway you and give you that same warm feeling you maybe haven;t felt ina bit.
"Australia" is an outstanding combination of a young sound with a mature taste.
It's clear this band is a fusion of some amazing rock influence and styles don't clash, but mend together with a gracefulness that creates the sound you hear.
This is one of those bands that you need every player involved for it to have the sound it does.
I miss bands like that.
You calso want to catch them live. You just get that "man, I'd really love to see these guys play" feeling when you listen to their stuff.
