ELECTRIC HIGH RELEASE A MASSIVE ALBUM

A new album release from Electric High delivers a massive rock soiree that is able to somehow combine elements of colorful pop sections in with a hard come heavy, but also classic rock soundscape and that combination works wonders for the band along with their unstoppable energy that's delivered and surprises around the corners.
The Colorful White Lies album is not only riddled with amazing guitar work, riffs come and sonic presence, but it also has tons of character attached to it and I feel like that's something that is missing from a lot of different kinds of music these days so when I heard this record, it was very refreshing and almost rejuvenating because not only are these guys pulling off a combination of arena and classic, hard rock and alternative, but they're doing it with personality and that adds to the atmosphere of the record.
I can't express enough how important the guitar work is here. There are so many inventive and brilliant guitar sections happening throughout the record that help really build these songs and adds to the drive that they boast but also adds that pop element as well.
The vocals are also absolutely outstanding. There are a lot of surprises when it comes to the vocals and by the time you get halfway through the record you kind of don't know what to expect Next.
The vocal approach has the same kind of combination of color and edginess that the band does and the energy levels between the music and the vocals are unbelievable because one element seems to drive the other.
The entire band has this electric energy yet actually. It's almost as if some of these tracks were recorded live-on-the-floor at least in part. It feels like everyone involved was feeding off of each other's energies the entire time and that's why the songs come across so alive and breathing.
Having said that, the production is really well done. Is everything is crisp, thick, really well tightened, and comes through with a lot of punch but still has that bit of pop overtone amongst the alternative tonalities so you have a song that hits hard with great riffs, some southern soul, and a really anthemic chorus that sticks with you for hours after the song has ended for example.
Even if I'm wrong about the whole live-on-the-floor thing, listening to this record makes you want to see them perform it live simply because if this kind of energy is captured on record so well, then seeing them perform it live in your face must be unreal.
Just get the feeling that these guys are a killer live band from listening to this album.
I can't help but adore that classic rock influence that always shows face in these songs. Even if they have a little bit more southern rock to anality or heavier alternative rock tonality or more colorful pop tonality, that classic rock is almost always evident especially in the guitar work and the riffs.
The whole thing was a very cool approach and I feel like these guys have a knack for writing songs that are catchy but driving, and also have heart.
Sometimes there are sections or hooks throughout this record that stick in your head so well that you have to listen to them again in order to satiate that.
You could just call that smart song rating, but I feel like although it is smart, that's just how these guys do their thing naturally.
I grew up in a time when you would hear a song on the radio and then if you liked it enough, you would go to the store and buy the album that that song was a part of. When you went home to listen to the album, it became a whole different experience because you had only heard that one song before and became obsessed with it.
This Album makes me think of that. It gives me the same feeling as when I did going to the store and getting a full record, cassette tape, or even CD. and listened to it for the first time.
It's an album with layers, fun, surprises, energy, and it becomes an experience rather than just a record.
Definitely giving kudos to these guys for putting out a full album that's nice and juicy and has some depth to it, because I missed that.
I think people need that more now than ever.
In my opinion, bands like electric high are the kinds of bands that stand at the forefront of bringing certain elements back to rock music.
Elements that rock music desperately needs. Elements like full length albums that have layers, or records with tons of personality.
These guys did a killer job of combining their influences together to create something that has its own vibe and I loved this thing from the start to finish.
I can honestly say that this is an album you want to listen to as a whole because if you only listen to one or two tracks, you're not going to get the full spectrum of what the album has to offer.
Take a deep dive into this one as soon as you can and I would suggest even doing it with headphones on unless you're in a place where you can listen to it nice and loud.
