Estella Kirk and Hunter Plake Release A Beautiful Track
A new single release from Estella Kirk brings out a very refreshing and honest pop soundscape that feels like it certainly comes from the heart and, in turn, gives off a sort of vulnerable emotion that feeds into a cinematic undertone, and it all comes together with so much personality that you can't turn away.
"All I Know (To My Knees)" is a very beautiful song, and to me, it's about giving into love to an extent. It's something that feels like one of the steps you take while falling for someone else, and there are risks at hand when these things come about.
I love a song that delves into those aspects and shows a little bit of fear, but also the part that let's go. The part that lets you feel and be open to it all.
This is a gorgeous and very well-woven pop song, but it falls into a sort of indie or contemporary pop sound with hints of indie and commercial pop as well, because the production is outstanding.
The song is full-bodied and feels lush with beautiful instrumentation that fills any kind of space and lets the song have a natural forward-moving flow that lets us feel good.
Over everything else, it's the honesty that draws you into this track.
Estella does an amazing job of delivering vocals that have heart, and it makes the entire track all the more authentic right from the start.
You have beautiful piano work, guitar work, and again, the full track has a beautiful orchestration to it with an arrangement that lets it feel impactful, along with those wonderfully vulnerable vocal approaches.
This track also features Hunter Plake as a vocalist, and I feel like he also does an outstanding job of bringing that same sort of emotion to the table, so it's all a match made in heaven.
These two feed off each other's energies throughout this track, and it makes for something unique that breeds an atmosphere you don't want to leave.
Again, to me, this track feels cinematic, but that could just be because of the emotion that's involved in the sentiment of the song itself.
It's those performances that leave an impact.
The song boasts such a vast sort of undertone, and that spaciousness lets the song feel a bit deeper, which also works wonders for the premise or sentiment of it.
I also love how it builds up to something climactic, and in that final set of chroses, you have such a huge soundscape with added layers of texture going on, new sounds that come into play and really push that melodic hook even further, utilizing keys and synths.
I also dig this factor because it brings a bit of an old-school tonality to the table. You get hints of eighties pop influence at times because of the keys and synths that are used towards the end of the track.
Most of all, this song paints a picture, and it's relatable, so by the time we get halfway through the track, it's so connective and even feels like the kind of song that would have served as part of the soundtrack to a certain chapter in our own lives.
That is what I think makes this song so beautiful. It's how connected you end up feeling to it, and how lyrically Estella can display certain kinds of inner thought or emotion so well.
It's all very beautifully done, and although there was plenty of attention to detail in terms of the arrangement and composition of everything, it never loses that character, personality, or most of all, its heart.
These are the elements that we hang onto with a song like this.
We listen to it and we think of our situation or our person. We relate songs like this to our own lives, and I think that is part of the impact that songs like this are supposed to give us.
This was done right.
Absolutely listen to this gorgeous track, and do so with headphones on so you can fully immerse yourself in all the great textures that unfold throughout the track, which build up in tandem with the emotion it conveys.
