Eve Goodman + SERA Release a Beautiful Single

10714-eve-goodman-sera-3-1755465814011.jpg

A beautiful new track from Eve Goodman and SERA delivers such a warm tonality and simplistic but lush approach that feels emotionally driving and has a unique way of pulling you in.

The single is called "Cwlwm Cariad", which refers to a type of moth, "True Lovers Knot".

The song is in Welsh, and this adds such a beautiful, cultural, and robust feeling to everything. It was sort of intense, a little bit dreamy, very cinematic, to me, and it struck a nerve because the track has such humanizing sentiment.

The song comes across very metaphorically, of course, and is stripped down with piano and vocals pretty much by themselves, which lets you pay a lot of attention to what's going on in the song and soak in those metaphorical phrases that create such a poetic and beautiful essence.

The song is about the emotions and situations that you get caught up in and deepening relationships.

There is beauty in it, but there is also struggle, heavy-handed passion, and at times even self-destruction, all due to the different aspects of a relationship that has a deeper meaning.

The emotion is so strong that it can be overwhelming. The song is about how those emotions can steer us in different directions and at times, feel uncontrollable.

These can be very intense situations and feelings, and underneath it all is a certain level of existentialism because the metaphors are referring to nature and its relation to the human heart.

There is a connective emotion behind all these different aspects of life in general, and it's just such a beautifully laid out sentiment, unlike any way I've heard it before.

The music itself, as I mentioned earlier, is a bit stripped down. There is a piano which is gorgeously performed, and you can hear emotion even in that aspect of the track, and there are two vocal tracks performed by both Eve Goodman and SERA.

They have such a natural flow in working together and creating such a warm set of harmonies and melodies.

They do this in such a way that it feels almost effortless, although we all know it wasn't.

They also use their vocals as instruments throughout the track. I find this to be such a gorgeous aspect and a smart move because they have such welcoming textures that are complementary to each other. The piano and vocal tones come together in such a natural way that you end up getting attached to the soundscape of the song itself.

Very metaphoric but very based in nature, and that balance between the layers of life and existence naturally occurring out in the open, and human emotion go hand in hand because they put it in such a unique way lyrically.

This was a gorgeous track that sort of sweeps you away and takes you to a different place. It has a little bit of a theatrical undertone, which I loved, and it's very easy to get swallowed up by this track.

Absolutely, take a listen to this one when you can, and you can see what I mean.

This will have some kind of effect on you emotionally. You'll be able to feel this song, and below this review, we've taken the liberty of translating the lyrics to English so that you can read them as well.

It's a great thing to read the lyrics as you listen to the track, so you can soak it in.

Take a deep dive into this one now and see what it does for you.

Lyrics (English)

Bond of Love

Dear moth, avoid the flame
There is no love in the fire
He attracts you with magic eyes
Burning with false hope
You are a beautiful monster, a foolish bird
There's nothing left for you
Little caterpillar, you are a sad plane
from what
shall we come with you?
The enemy knot is on your back
As a knotty reminder of the old order
Flight fly to the sun
A burning promise that is available
Dear moth you are the mirror
Success turns us all wild
Money, love and tying the stars
What about shade what about peace?
Cool
m love, long wing
Bond of love, pure life
