A World of Folk and Fantasy With Feyheart The Bard

A wonderful new single from Feyheart the Bard has just been released, and this track breeds a fantastical approach that takes elements of fiction and blends them with certain aspects of realism by utilizing this rich world of fantasy, and bringing in a lot of emotional backbone.

The single is titled "Feyheart", and I believe it is so because it is the first chapter in a series of songs that might soon drop. I'm not sure about this, of course, but I certainly hope so simply because this is more like reading a chapter in a book than just listening to a song itself.

The lyrics are so descriptive that you can paint a picture as the song unfolds, and I think that's also part of the point. This whole thing is meant to have your mind project visuals as the song plays through, and it does an amazing job at that.

Most certainly inspired by books and film, lore and stories of fantasy, this song is thick with character and again, brings in that self-understanding, emotions, and feelings to the table, making the song connective in a different sense.

I love this because not only is it a story with a lot of description and personality, but it also showcases human nature.

The song is about a man roaming the woods in another realm and missing somebody. You get the sense of a lost love throughout the track, and every good story has a love interest. This was a brilliant aspect to bring into play because you start paying attention to and following that as well.

So, you have this beautifully rich storytelling going on, and you're following this story like you're reading a book, and throughout this, you have a warm, rustic, rootsy folk sort of approach.

Now, it does have a classic and again, rustic folk style, but there are also orchestrated sections that feel big and bring a cinematic undertone to everything, which helps drive the emotion and intensity behind some of the choruses.

The guitar work is beautiful. There's a lot of lushness going on with guitars, and there's also some great little hooks that they play, and this is done acoustically. Everything is very acoustic on this track.

So you have acoustic guitars that are playing these hooks along with everything else, and I love a song with musical hooks because it's something that I've kind of missed in music as of late.

I feel like instrumental hooks have been missing in music of late. I always get more wrapped up in a song with instrumental hooks along with great choruses, and this track boasts both, so I was very pulled into this atmosphere that was delivered.

One of the biggest driving points of this track, aside from the passionate and heartfelt vocals telling an amazing story, is the drumming. The percussion throughout this track has a beautiful way of sort of growing. It keeps everything subtle, and when things get more intense and more string sections come in, the drums get more intense as well.

This really helps the song feel like it's breathing. It's almost calm before the storm.

By the end of the song, you are singing along with the chorus, fists in the air, almost like you're listening to a rock song. It's anthemic.

It has a beautiful way of grabbing hold of you and bringing you into the story so that you're in the moment with the song itself.

There's a gracefulness and elegance to the entire thing, and the thematic push behind the song is perfectly done.

You are invited to sort of take a journey into the world of Fayheart the Bard, and it's one I certainly suggest taking.

The vocal performance can be more intense during those choruses as it's meant to be. You really get sucked into the big, robust, and bountiful sort of choruses and vocals that are portrayed during those sections.

During the verses, they're softer but still very passionate, and with some great melodies that stick with you for hours after the song has ended.

As big as the chorus was, it was some of the verse vocal melodies that really stuck with me even more.

This track comes with an amazing music video that lays out the visuals for exactly what the song was meant to portray.

It shows Fayheart playing instruments, roaming through the woods, showing the love interest, telling the story, and you have a whole fantasy world to step into.

I think the video probably took as long as the song did to make, or maybe even longer. A lot is going on here, and it really does an amazing job of bringing you to that place.

I highly suggest listening to the song by watching the video, at least the first time around.

Watching the video actually helps you follow the story even easier and also showcases that character visually.

So, take a deep dive into this one and check out the fantastical and gracefully melodic world of Fayheart the Bard.
