A Very personal Record from Francisco
A very in-depth album release from Francisco delivers so much character and personality that you can't look away from it.
This is an album that delves into his inner thoughts and psyche, giving you glimpses of who he is as a person, his experiences, and how they shape the person that he's become.
It's a gorgeous record that revolves around a sort of contemporary and Indie pop soundscape, but it's the way that he performs vocally that really wraps its arms around you.
He's got a very intense way of performing to the point where it feels almost theatrical.
"Passing Fix" is an outstanding example of exactly that. This is a track that tells a story about how he met someone one morning, for a short time, and how that person impacted his life from there on out.
He stuck replaying the time spent with this person over and over in his head, and it seems that he has fallen for them.
They meet for a short time, he falls for the person, and they leave as strangers once again.
The effects that this has on him are massive, and the song really articulates that in such a unique way that it tells a story, but it also gives you a lot of that personal perspective, shedding light on the emotional backbone that songs like this are built from.

There are other songs that go in-depth like this as well.
"Let Me Go" also goes pretty deep, gets personal, and again he's able to speak his mind and let a lot of that inner thought come spilling out for everyone else to take in, which is amazing.
I find this refreshing because it's brave. He's incredibly vulnerable throughout this entire record and I think that takes guts.
There are no walls built around the songs, especially lyrically, and the way he performs them, again, has this amazing intensity to them. When you hear them, you know they came from a real place and that they're completely authentic.
A lot of these are piano-based tracks, and all have a wonderful way of putting you in the moment with the songs themselves.
'The Day That You Left" is an incredibly performed ballad that starts to give you even more insight into his personal life. This one is a little slower paced, and because of that, the lyrics are a little slower-paced as well.
The thing with Francisco is that his lyrical phrasing is quick. It's all fast-paced, and he's able to squeeze a lot of thoughts and words into one verse.
Hearing a song like this, where it's a little wider, a little bit slower, and calmer, allows you to soak it in a little differently.
It comes through in layers, and it doesn't lose any of that same kind of energy or intensity per se, but it's easier to pick up on every word.
This artist is an absolute genius at storytelling.
I'm beginning to think it's actually a concept album. The songs have unique ways of interconnecting with each other, and the only way to get the full picture or full story is to listen to the album all in one shot.
It is a pretty big record, spanning 15 tracks in total, and there's a lot to chew on, but it's well worth your time.
This was a wonderfully woven set of songs that showcases an artist who puts pieces of himself into his music in an unafraid manner, so that you can actually paint a picture in your head as songs unfold.
I find that to be the most powerful attribute to a lot of these tracks.
He's not afraid to dig in, get real, express how he's feeling, and get things off of his chest.
Because of all that, I feel like this whole thing may have been cathartic for him to actually write and release.
Perhaps it was.
Aside from the theatrical and storytelling aspect, there are pop sensibilities that he holds on to, giving you particular melodic hooks and robust piano and key performances that really drive the record forward.
This is a must here for anyone who wants to feel something from listening to music.
It's also for anyone who wants to hear detailed and descriptive stories that aren't scared of going places that you only do in your mind.
