A Huge New Album from Humble Hefe

A new album release from Humble Hefe showcases a ton of character and personality, riddled with swagger and different approaches to rap and hip-hop with each new track. This release has a lot to say, and it does so with a very addictive charm.

One of the things I love about the Against All Odds 2 album is the sheer fact that it blends so many different approaches to wrapping into the mix. Not just the way he raps and puts everything together, but also the production to each track, and how he's able to almost bring a new character to each track, depending on the mood.

Songs like "F.A.H." just simply hit hard. It's a unique approach to wrapping simply because of the time signature and beat. He's able to really manipulate his lyrical phrasing to come up with clever lines that fit firmly between beats and is always something that catches your ear.

The entire record is peppered with these kinds of attributes. It's diverse while still sitting firmly under the wrap and hip-hop umbrella.

This is definitely an example of a record that has more going on than you may think.

There are always surprises around the corners of this record, and that's one of the things that keeps me on my toes.

"No Romeo"  is an example of a song that comes through with a really unique flow and style, bringing a lot of R&B undertones into the mix, and again with this great rhythm that's sort of particular.

Even with tracks that have unique time signatures and rhythms, the songs flow seamlessly and almost always have some hooks that stick with you for a long time after the end.

You can hear a slew of influences under his belt, and throughout the record, there are a ton of collaborations and features that let songs stand out.

Humble Hefe certainly isn't afraid to join up with producers and other artists that know exactly what the mission is, and that's part of why this record came out so well.

Some tracks have more of a smooth tone, while others have a much harder tone. There are certainly more than a few bangers on this record, and although several tracks, including the ones I just mentioned, stand out as singles, this is a record you should hear all the way through.

This is an album where the tracks serve almost like chapters, and I would definitely suggest digging through the entire record to get the full experience.

One of my favorite songs on this record is actually the last track, which is called "I'm The Shh" because it gives such robust flows and animated vocals that you just get attached to this unique swagger.

This album manages to think outside the box more than a few times, and that's part of what brings it its unique blend of color and edginess.

It can get gritty, but it can also flow smoothly. That combination of elements is quite brilliant, and I think that this record had a lot of thought put behind it before it was released.

The flows are always unique, and even when they are that unique, they still feel somewhat familiar. This is because the artist breeds and beckons sounds and approaches that lend a hand to classic hip-hop and rap from decades past, along with a much more current feel.

Being able to take those two elements and put them together helps this release build an atmosphere that feels like it's all its own.

I definitely got engulfed by this. It was a crazy record with a lot of catchiness and heavy-handed, smart lyrical phrasing and approaches that let songs bounce even harder.

It's hard not to bounce right alongside a lot of these tracks, and I would definitely turn it up when you listen to it.

Again, I heavily suggest you listen to this entire record because there are going to be songs that you don't expect to hear. Again, there are plenty of surprises going on, and sometimes that's because of the rhythms or time signatures, other times it's because of the production, and many times it's because of how the lyrics come across and how much character is boasted throughout the entire thing.

So, check this out as soon as you can, and you won't be disappointed.
