An Honest Single From Jay Wood
A new single release from Jay Wood comes through as an honest acoustic pop single that bears enough character to grab you and get you to pay attention to everything that she says.
"Oh Well" definitely shows a lot of her personality with words that you become quickly attached to so you can follow along with your story and in the end, you feel like you know her much better than you did before.
The song is about struggles to an extent but it also has an almost whimsical undertone at times that keeps it light and colorful.
This track was definitely freeing and felt good to listen to along with being able to read into a chapter of the artist's life a little bit deeper and I think that that's something I've missed about a lot of music as of late.
When I hear a song like this I feel a little bit more connected to the artist because she's told me so much about herself within this one song that no matter who I am there are things in it that I can absolutely relate to.
I think that one of the more important aspects of songs like this is being able to connect with the audience and let them relate to what you're saying.
The other thing of course is just that honesty and authenticity that comes off the song which really is wonderful for her presence as an artist because it fits so well with that pop vibe the song gives off.
I feel like this song was important for her to put out there and maybe even cathartic for her to make because these are things that she had to get off her chest no matter what and it's very possible this is the only way she knew how.
And, it's definitely one of the best ways because others can hear it and understand.
This was a beautiful acoustic pop single from an artist that shows a true passion and love for what she does and everything about it is dripping with this wonderful character.
When you get a chance to, definitely check the song out and dive into the world of Jay Wood a little bit more.
