With his brand new EP release Dream... You're Awake Jon McLeod brings neo-folk and alternative rock together and creates a set of alluring songs.
The record feels like being afloat in a dream looking down at the streets of the town where you grew up. Watching the houses and alleyways pass by, knowing you're in a dream, and not wanting to wake up.
Acoustic guitar, vocals, and cello or (upright bass) are a trifecta that really sways the listener and Jon knows exactly how to woo you into his personal space with each track.
Percussion, effected electric guitars and piano come in here and there in the records atmosphere just giving more of a dreamesque feeling.
The soundscape of this record is easy to succumb to and it's pleasureful to indulge.
