Jonathon Goldie
Jonathon Goldie's unique and brandished style is beggining to create a buzz, and once you hear the latest singles, you'll get a good idea just why that is.
With releases being published from the artist that show his approach as being warm but distant with guitars that serve as the key rhythm but also while bringing on other forms of sounds and instruments to give a wider sense of feel.
"Alone" is one of the more popular releases along with "Root" which both give a very rounded feel for the artist's songwriting.
These are the newer drops and give a good idea for how he tracks his music more recently.
When asked bout "Roots" Jonathon had this to say; "This song came about around the same time as my first album was being written. Was actually one of the first things that I wrote... I decided to release this after, since it didn't really work with the album as I only wanted so many mid-tempo songs on the album. The song itself was written on one of my Simon and Patrick acoustic guitars. The production was the same philosophy as the others. What more can I say... I've had people call my music many different things, but psych-folk I'll accept!" - Jonathon Goldie
The artist takes the production and songwriting all into his own hands by creating songs from scratch on his own.
His use of blending sounds smoothly and using his vocals as a sort of glue for the songs is very a individualulized aspect of his technique.
THis works for the singersongwriter as he builds songs that pass through genres in one shot and leave a mark.
