Lisa Michelle Anderson Returns With A Brilliant Single

Lisa Michelle Anderson returns with another warming and welcoming single that bears the tonality of pure Americana soul. The track feels very personal as it portrays the story of youth in such a descriptive manner that you can literally paint pictures in your head as she sings the lyrics.
"Get To Somewhere" is a song that a lot of us can relate to when we were young. A lot of us have similar stories about smoking cigarettes out back when no one's home, being a wild youth, having fun, drinking, and just being a rambunctious person. I think we were all that way at some point during our younger years.
The song touches on wanting to go somewhere. Where to aim and how to set your goals. Listening to your parents tell you that it's important to take your own path no matter what you choose.
It's quite beautiful, and the way she portrays it is so detailed that it makes perfect sense to anyone who's listening to it.
The guitar work on this track, in particular, is really well done because there are these overlapping slide guitars that are affected with echo. These give a distanced feel and somehow make things even warmer tone-wise.
I love how Lisa puts together a song and makes it feel like it was meant just for you, even though you know it wasn't.
She's one of those songwriters that you can connect with when you hear her songs because she's singing about herself, but she could also be singing about you, and that is something special if you ask me.
Her vocals are almost delicate but double-tracked, so it has some lushness to it but still has this smooth approach and is texturally gorgeous with the feel and aesthetic of the music.
It's a big song because it has a big statement. Within the span of one song, she nails a big part of your youth. The part that tells you you might not know exactly where you're going, but you're going to get there anyway.
Lisa's songs normally feel pretty personal. This isn't the first time we have been privileged enough to review one of her singles, and there's always some message behind it. There's always a pull you in. You listen to those stories, and they affect you.
She also brings in some of that classic rock influence, which is a staple of her music as well. It is very Americana and singer-songwriter based.
The feeling and sentiment are always among the strongest points of her songs. You always pick up on what she's putting down, and the aesthetic of how she does that is brilliant because you feel something from it. You can feel something from listening to these songs. Maybe it's because you connect with them or how relatable they are, but it has to do with how she can articulate those words perfectly so that you do end up really feeling it.
Not too many artists have that, but Lisa seems to pull this off without a hitch each and every time.
This is one of my new favorites from the artist and I suggest that you dive in here. A previously released track from earlier this year called "Devil On My Back" is also amazing, and if you like the song, you're going to like that one as well.
The artist also has a good amount of releases dating back to 2020 and as I have mentioned in other reviews, she always puts a little piece of herself in her music in one way or another.
This is a wonderful attribute, and I hope that she never stops doing it.
Listen to the song now, and then check some of her previous stuff out because it's worth it.
