Lisa Michelle Anderson Drops A Fresh New Single and Video

The latest release from Lisa Michelle Anderson delivers quite a descriptive story and it's told with a country and Americana influence but you can also hear certain kinds of classic rock in there as well and I personally love this mix and vibe.
"Devil on My Back" is a song that combines certain elements that feel rustic in a way and brings them into that more updated rock-oriented tonality, but again, there is that heavy sort of Americana influence here, and the way she performs everything is outstanding.
The vocals are alluring and pull you into the story not only because of the description in the lyrics but also because of how she sings them.
The rhythm of this track is a bit driving. It's got that classic kick drum stomp to it along with instrumentation, which is mostly acoustic based although there is electric guitar as well.
I loved hearing these influences come into play throughout the song and you most certainly get that chorus embedded in your brain. It's something that just sort of stays with you for long after the song has ended and I think it's something that showcases Lisa's ability to write a song that has layers in a bit of depth to it but also can be catchy and memorable at the same time.
The song makes you want to dance. It is a danceable track but the first time around you're really paying attention to those lyrics too much. Or at least I was.
By the second time around, you really start moving to the beat of the track which, again, is sort of driving and has a bit of that rustic folk underbelly to it.
Throughout it all there is a touch of pop overcoat and I think that was done purposely of course. I think that the song was something that combined classic country and Americana influences along with a little bit of classic rock and a nice pop sheen that kept things catchy and bouncy even.
This was a fun single and in my opinion, speaks volumes for Lisa Michelle Anderson as an artist because not only does it showcase her presence but it also lets you see how well she writes songs.
Yes, the performances in this song are great and it's of course a massive reason why you get attached to it but the songwriting is really outstanding here.
The vocal melody between the verses and the choruses flows into each other seamlessly as does the story.
All of these things were taken into consideration when she wrote the song so you can tell that this is not her first rodeo.
As soon as the song starts, you get overtaken. You get caught up in what she's singing about and how she's singing it, the melodies, the rhythm, it all takes you.
I have to love a song that grabs at me in such a way.
The track comes with a music video that also allures in certain aspects.
You can see some of the depth of the story and premise, along with Lisa jamming on her guitar and what feels like a comfort zone.
This is clearly an artist who has a real love for the craft of songwriting and performing.
Sometimes you can hear a song and know that seeing that artist live would be outstanding and Lisa is definitely no exception.
So, check this one out as soon as you can, which we've made quite easy for you as the video is in bed and just below, and I'm sure that's more than worth your time.
