Love Eli Delivers Layers of Synthesized Symphonic Atmosphere

With LUCKY YOU EP

If you are looking for something that comes through as sort of intense, sonically massive, and gives you a blend of the cinematic and the electronic, along with heavy-handed pop overtones but with a dark edge, I have just the release for you.

Everything I just described perfectly lands with the new EP release from Love Eli.

This record bursts into existence with thick, winding, flavorful but edgy synthesizers that are riddled throughout the course of the entire release and give the set of songs this amazingly immersive feel.

There's no empty space with this record. It comes through with layers of those synthesizers and a beautiful drive and undertone, but it also has a sort of atmospheric spaciousness that gives the song a different life all at the same time.

The EP is dubbed Lucky You, and it kicks off with the title track, which combines hard-hitting but ambient synth pads coated with arpeggiated overlaying synths and keys, blending a progressive and melodic set of approaches in such a very unique way of sucking you into it all.

This artist is an absolute master at the craft. It is something that you can tell they are absolutely in love with doing.

The main synthesizers bend notes in different places, and this is a huge aspect of why it feels so filmic at times.

It just has a big soundscape to it that feels, again, very intense, and it doesn't waste any time getting there. It happens right from the top of the record.

I would say that this first track has the most synthwave-style feel and focuses a lot more on the keys than anything else.

The way those notes bend and sway has a way of wrapping themselves around you. You get engulfed by how everything sounds almost alternatively driven, but also elegant all at the same time.

I think that's part of the beauty of a record like this one. It sort of bends genres in certain sections. Yes, it is alternative pop, electro pop, electronic music, but it also covers more ground than just that.

The record builds atmospheres and shapes sound.

As the song unfolds more and more, it builds in that intensity until it finally exhales and gets stripped down to certain keys, showcasing some of the fuzzy synth sounds that you're hearing underneath a lot of the layers.

It's very orchestrated. It's a symphonic record, and this track was like the introduction to the whole thing.

"Lockjawed" brings out a different kind of drive with a heavy-handed beat, and some different synthesizer tones along with indie pop-style vocals, immediately bleeding into different genres and styles.

This was such a cool track because this is where you start hearing a lot of the pop overtones coming through.

It's a very patchy chocolate also still keeps to that massively lush synthesized set of layers you already got tuned into on the first track.

I think it is endlessly fun listening to a record that has a lot fewer boundaries than the norm.

When I talk about the future of what music might sound like, especially pop, this is the exact kind of thing I'm talking about.

Utilizing an overtone of sonic bliss, creating layers of synthesizers and textures to build these huge atmospheres but keeping the pop intact, is just a genius move, and this artist has absolutely nailed it.

Again, these are songs that are a little outside the box, and very symphonic if you ask me. The orchestration element of the songs gives them a different feel and embodiment.

The third and final track, "Heart Attack", is the one that really displays a little bit of everything. You have the beautiful layers of synthesized tonality; you have loads of pop underbelly; it even leans a little bit into hyper-pop at times with some of the keys that are used, but the vocals are smooth, whispery, soulful, and those elements put together are what give the song so much character.

It's really refreshing to hear a record that sort of breaks down boundaries the way this one does. It is just freeing and intense, while bringing elements of both nostalgia and personality into the mix so that you have something that can sort of swallow you up.

Now, don't get me wrong, it feels good to be swallowed up by a record like this. Listening to this track with headphones on is absolutely the best way to go because of how much effort was put into creating these textures.

They are meant to surround you. You were meant to swim through them, and in doing so, you're going to feel something.

This was absolutely brilliant, and I suggest this for anyone who loves synth-pop, alternative pop, symphonic music, even synthwave.

Even just electronic music in general. This is covering so much ground in such a unique manner that you can't miss it.

So, the time is now. Check this record out, and you can hear exactly what I'm talking about.
