Luke Woltanski Returns With A New Album

Luke Woltanski returns with a beautiful record that spans a lot of ground and touches on many personal topics that give off this authentic and one-on-one set of songs and tones so that when the record's over you feel closer to Luke as a person which is quite a beautiful attribute to have on an album release.
Mockingbird is a record that feels like a diary or chapters in the artist's life and he's not afraid to get deep and talk about the things that really affect his emotions and feelings.
All of this is coated with gorgeous guitar parts and performances that whisk you away into the sky and let you float around through the notes that are being played.
There's so much going on in terms of the attention to detail on this record but through it all it never loses that heart or soul that it began within the first place and this might be the most important aspect of it all.
Although there is a strong acoustic guitar backbone on this record it is filled with all kinds of other instrumentation and electric guitar as well including keys and more.
This isn't a one-trick pony by any means or cookie-cutter at all.
These songs are honest and display an array of wonderful songwriting that is displayed a little bit differently each time but through the album you get these breathers so everything kind of feels alive in a way.
Very well thought out record with performances that you can feel in your bones, Mockingbird is intense where it needs to be and thoughtful where it needs to be.
It's subtle, and calm, but strong and intense at the same time.
There's something quite fantastical about all of that and it takes someone who puts everything into the music to be able to pull it off which Luke does every time.
Have a good listen to this record and start with the title track because I feel like it's one of the strongest songs on the record for many reasons, but mostly it gives you such a warm and welcoming introduction to what you can prepare yourself for on the rest of the release.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this thoughtful release and I'm sure you will too.
