Maddisun Shines With Self Reflections

1144-digital-official-art.jpg

The new album release from Maddisun touches on personal experiences and is a beautifully strung together piece of work that displays that artists soulful and passionate vocals and natural talent for songwriting.

Self Reflections is a clear and vibrant blend of piano ballads in the vein of Tori Amos, indie and acoustic pop and mostly done with a particular and slight southern twang that coats everything is a wonderous and tasteful staple sound.

Maddisun holds nothing back on this record. Especially in terms of lyrical content and just songwriting in general. Each song is almost a different genre all together but it all comes together and is a confluent album as a whole.

Contemporary with hints of Americana and jazz undertones at times, Self Reflections is full of surprises and grows on you quickly.

The record is full of excellent guitars and keys and her singing gives a Fiona Apple vibe while almost every song becomes easy to get wrapped up in after a few seconds alone.

Maddisun has put together a group of songs with a technicolor pop style that feels great to listen to. This is a great album to wake up and throw on with your morning coffee.

This is a mature album with a youthful approach and it all works so well.

Grab headphones for this one.
