A NEW RELEASE FROM DJ ODDFELLOW AND 4AM

A new EP release from DJ Oddfellow and 4AM recently dropped which has two versions of a single that each bring a bit of a different feel to the table but also have attributes that make the soundscape engulfing and cinematic.
"Madre Tierra" is a vast and expansive techno and house track that feeds into classic dance-pop but also has an atmosphere all its own.
One of the things I love about this track is how it opens up and gives you this forward-moving flow that still has a calmness to it even though the beat has a bit of drive.
There are synth pads floating through the ether of the track making it flow and giving it a silky overtone but it still has that dance ability and that beat kicking throughout it all.
I definitely adore a track that provides that combination and balance of energies the way this one does.
At times, this track's elements recall old-school house music, and you can hear a slew of approaches and influences throughout its unfolding.
Some of the synths and keys are vintage or 80s style while others have a bit more of a refreshing and current feel and those two things brought together create something that does indeed feel quite cinematic and sometimes can give you little bouts of nostalgia.
You can tell there was a lot of attention to detail during the creation of this piece of music but it still has this sort of character or personality that it brings to the table and that is the thing that you end up getting attached to.
I also really enjoyed the fact that it sets a certain kind of mood and once you get brought into it, your mind takes over.
The music, soundscape, and mood are all set so it frees up your mind to go wherever it wants to go which means that each person that listens to this track will soak it in a little differently than the next.
An interpretation of a song like this is up to the listener but it takes a well-produced song to let your mind escape into it.
The entire aesthetic is something that brings a little bit of allure and an air of something fantastical in a way.
It also has a little bit of a dreamy underbelly to it that lets you get engulfed and everything and eventually washed away with it.
The second track is a different version called "Madre Tierra - Minimal Tech Rework" and I also loved this one simply because it does give some of the same Staples that the original does but it has different elements to it that make it both edgier and dreamier at the same time.
You have a lot more of these vocals that float in and out and are used as instruments to add that spaciousness to the song while the beat has a heavier approach to it and there is added percussion as well so the song comes through with a little bit more lusciousness to it.
You also have these 90s dance and house synth tones that come in and out and this brings different kinds of nostalgia to the table.
Both of these versions are a bit different from each other but they both still come through with a certain aesthetic and vibe that really stays strong and lets you escape into them in different ways.
Wonderfully woven pieces of music by producers who know exactly what they're going for and have a real love for their craft, listen to this EP with headphones on because it's one of the best ways to soak it in.
Some outstanding layers of texture are going on throughout these tracks and headphones are some of the best ways to catch all of them and take a ride with the feel of these releases.
Check this out right now and see how it affects you.
