An Interview With Mia Ayana
We had a chance to speak with artist Mia Ayana about her music, her musical philosophy, and more. Here's what we found out!
TSWS: We are SO excited to be chatting with YOU! What has been taking up your days as of lately when it comes to your music?
Mia: Lately I’ve just been writing, trying to stay creative. I’m allowing myself to let things go so that my words can flow. It’s working. I’m excited for those waiting to hear the new music coming. Much to come.
TSWS: What is the best compliment you’ve ever received about your music?
Mia: I don’t really have “a best.” I’ve gotten my voice is beautiful and my vibe overall is much different than the era we’re in which makes me happy. That’s the goal. It’s just nice to know people are listening. I love when I hear from people overseas who listen. I get a lot of feedback on IG from them: France, Germany, Brazil—seeing that my music transcends past where I am is a beautiful thing.
TSWS: What surprises you most about yourself as an artist?
Mia: My growth and how I’m evolving each day. Consistency. I think I’m always looking for what's next so the tables are always turning.
TSWS: What is your musical philosophy?
Mia: Music to me is healing. It’s a way for me to express some of my darkest most painful memories/thoughts in a creative and positive way. It’s the one thing that I lean on that hasn’t led me astray. It just flows and makes me feel good. If I’m not having fun with it, I can’t do it. It’s deeper than blowing up or getting noticed for me.
TSWS: Where can our audience find you and support all your current and new projects!!
Mia: @miaayanamusic on IG and Twitter
