A Vivacious and Soul Packed Single from Mikey Jose
A brand new single from Mikey Jose manages to deliver a slew of styles and approaches all rolled up into one track that hits with such a vibrant soundscape and energy that you can't turn away from it.
One of the things I love most about 'Ay Nako!" is the way it blends and bends genres at will. It's been quite some time since I've heard a song that incorporates everything from disco, soul, pop, R&B, and more, all in one vivacious single.
Mikey manages to pull this off without a hitch and with a charm to boot.
Vocally, he hits that R&B style amazingly. The vocal approach in general is oozing with personality, soul, and a youthful color that brightens everything up and adds to the already lush soundscape that you're hearing right from the start.
You also get some super hooky harmonies throughout this track, along with attitude-riddled and animated sections of vocals that showcase his many musical influences musically all in one shot.
The beat of this track gives you an insanely danceable groove, so it's very hard to listen to this track without moving your body.
If you're driving in the car, you'll be shaking your butt in your seat or singing along by the second time around.
A lot is going on. There are plenty of layers and textures happening all at once, but they feed into each other and are balanced perfectly.

It makes me think of classics like Stevie Wonder. Just the way he's letting loose and having so much fun tracking this song makes it alluring and impactful in a way.
