A Vast Single release From Noiseverse
A new single release from Noiseverse comes through with a vast and classic rock tonality that has the ability to wrap itself around you and keep you right where it wants to with an abundance of character and a cinematic backbone that keeps its drive.
"Wind Say" signs with a lush artistic presence and almost dreamlike that brings textures together to form an atmosphere that you can escape into for a little bit and once you're there, you really don't want to leave/
This track can come through anthemic at times and it's very easy to sort of get washed away with the whole vibe then it gives you.
The guitar work on this track is outstanding and it really showcases the artist's ability to not only deliver a genuine performance but one that's tasteful as well.
There are some beautiful layers that can be peeled back during the course of this track and as you do so you get a real feel for the character behind it all.
And that's the thing, this track has character and persona which both allow it to let you get engulfed.
This is clearly created by people who have a real love for their craft and I don't mean just their instruments, I mean creating the songs themselves.
Being able to portray and deliver an energy like this recording is really unique and it makes you want to see a live performance.
There's also this great level of intensity that gives the song the ability to grow as it plays on and in turn, gives it some of that cinematic feeling. You can see the track in the scene of a film for example.
It's got that vastness to it that pulls you in as you gravitate into it you want more and more.
I love tracks that let you escape like this one does so you can step away from your own reality for a moment in time and into a different one altogether.
I think some forms of music or meant for that and even though this track comes through as a dream-esque indie-pop and rock single, there's a lot more to it, and because of that, it has a way of sticking with you for hours or even days after the song is ended and the only way to satiate that is to play the song again which in my opinion is just smart song writing.
But I think it's all natural here.
The song has the sense of being alive and breathing because it swells and sways and different ways.
Listening to this song is like reading a chapter of a good book and then having to snap yourself back to reality again and sort of shake it off.
Nothing is forced on this song, it all has this almost freeing and forward-moving flow in that sense of calm as a way of letting you float.
I'm going to give this song a 9 out of 10 without question.
Definitely check this out with a pair of headphones on and about 4 minutes of free time.
You won't soon regret it.
