Heavy Garage Punk Super Group
PARCHED, Drops "L5"
PARCHED is a four-piece hardcore punk band from Phoenix, Arizona. The band started making noise in the local scene in early 2025 with their first song, "Moneytalk." The song was loud, angry, and sarcastic, and it quickly gave people an idea of what the band was about. They have also become known for their wild and high-energy live shows.
The members of PARCHED have been part of the Arizona punk and hardcore scene for years. They have played in bands including TV Tragedy, Lipstick Stains, SUFX, and First or Last.
PARCHED's music is heavy, loud, and fast. They mix the rough sound of Phoenix hardcore with some more melodic parts. Their songs are built around heavy guitars, hard-hitting drums, and rough vocals. The band also keeps a strong DIY spirit and plays shows at local spots like Yucca Taproom and The Rosetta Room.
Their song "L5" came out on February 20, 2026. It is one of their heaviest songs so far. The track has pounding drums, noisy guitars, and harsh vocals that give it a lot of energy.
"L5" was engineered by local audio engineer Joe Caustic. The artwork was made by @ee_etl, @chryxanthemumm, and @cshocker.
The song takes the band's angry sound even further than some of their earlier work. There is less focus on melody and more focus on noise, anger, and tension. The guitars are full of feedback, while the drums and vocals hit hard.
The name "L5" comes from the L5 vertebra, which is one of the bones in the lower part of your back. It carries a lot of weight and pressure. The band uses that idea as a way to talk about the pressure people deal with in everyday life.
In that way, "L5" is about carrying too much for too long and finally reaching a breaking point.
