Phantom Brings On A Retro Alternative Pop Sound
A new release from Phantom breathes fuzztones and retro synths as it's alt-pop edge bleeds through with a colorful alternative rock style.
"The Space Between Us" is an absolute classic vintage pop track that blends old and new school sounds together to create its own tastefully floaty atmosphere as it rocks out blending natural and digital instrumentation.
Vocals belt and guitars rip all tru 80's aesthetic and the whole thing takes over and begins to feel like the song you may have heard in the end credits of a VHS you watched when you were a kid.
This is a vibrant and completely fun song and you may not even notice you've been shaking your ass until the half time breakdown happens. But guess what...you were shaking your ass.
It gives the feeling of being a young teenager and dancing around the room singing into a hair brush before you went off to meet the gang at the arcade.
We cannot express how much we love this sound and how Phantom nails it without a hitch.
"The Space Between Us" has an addictive energy and just feels good to listen to.
Now, we decided to dig a bit deeper and check out the artists Soothsayer album and damn is it good as well. Completely different but has all the heart and passion it needed.
The Phantom catalog is all well worth a listen or ten.
