BIO: At its core, Rare Seed is a contemporary rock band drawing heavy influence from Stereolab, Thee Oh Sees, and My Bloody Valentine. Their music blends rhythmic and harmonic elements from a wide range of genres, including modal and traditional jazz, classical, hip-hop, and the soaring jazz-pop sounds of Koji Kondo.

Yet, such descriptions only scratch the surface of the harmonic and rhythmic depth found in Ethereal Enclave. Rare Seed’s sound is best understood through the diverse backgrounds of its members. The creative heart of the band, drummer, lead singer, lyricist, and guitarist Lex Condes, comes from a post-punk and metal background, having played in bands like Leafdrinker. His lyrics weave together existential philosophy and Eastern spiritual practices, offering moments of peace amid chaos. His knack for crafting infectious melodies and hooks is undeniable—Ethereal Enclave is filled with them.

Guitarists Ben Parker and Connor Herring bring virtuosity through fluid lead lines, channeling the energy of The Allman Brothers and Cream while layering funk and psychedelic dreamscapes with inventive pedal work and distortion. Keyboardist Andrew Wise, with his classical and early jazz roots, shapes the band’s thematic development.

"Clarion Call " is the first single from their upcoming album release set to drop this summer.
