A New Release from Ryan Wayne Has Arrived
A new single release from Ryan Wayne delivers a robust and vintage soundscape with a pop rock vibe and approach that feels like it could have been written in the 1970s and released today all with a unique and vivid sort of honesty that actually lets him give a little bit of a piece of himself through the track to the point where it feels like it may have actually been cathartic for him to write and release.
"Ready My Love" is lush with a colorful and bright array of instrumentation that all adds to the classic aesthetic of this single and it's all done with a certain kind of charm as well as character which again, comes back to the honesty of the track lyrically.
There is this kind of vast and cinematic backbone in the underbelly of this track and this creates a sort of atmosphere that you end up falling right into and getting engulfed in.
It's so easy to just get washed away with the natural forward-moving flow of this track because it's so smooth in a way even though it still has distorted guitars and this pop-rock vibe.
What I love about this the most is that you can hear all these different influences coming through in this one track alone from classic '90s indie rock to super old school but brilliant groups like The Beach Boys for example, it all comes together on this one song and that's why it delivers such a full-bodied feel.
The energy is amazing and feels almost like a live performance with players that are feeding off of each other's energies the entire time but what's amazing about this track is it was most likely all performed by Ryan himself as he is a multi-instrumentalist that was pretty much boring straight into music.
A lot of this shines through with the sonic presence of the song itself and Ryan himself on the track because there is a sort of vivaciousness to this but the way that he wears his heart on his sleeves is a little bit different than normal.
So, what you have is a catchy song that brings together old-school and new-school songwriting approaches and even tonalities, and you also have this personality that comes right along with it and this makes the song catchy but impactful at the same time.
Listening to songs like this kind of makes you wonder how something starts as maybe a vision and then is eventually brought to fruition and how close that final product came to the vision he originally had.
Again, you can easily hear a very wide range of influences and Inspirations behind this track alone and upon listening to it I wanted to take a little bit of a deep dive into his catalog and I'm glad that I did because on Spotify he's got a great album release from last year and another single from this year each showing a little bit of a different side to how he writes music and to himself as an artist and as a person as well.
This is music released with no walls built around it and no particular end game or gigantic purpose other than that it's a passion project and was done for himself.
This is all just one part of why this came out so well.
A beautiful and graceful release that still keeps to a great rock edge but brings together a soiree of pop and rock influences, "Ready My Love" hits more than a few sweet spots.
Check this track out as soon as you get a chance and in my opinion, you should listen to it with headphones on so you can hear all the notes floating through the ether of the song.
