An Intense And Heavy Release From Samiah
Good news! Samiah has officially arrived on the scene and has brought with them an in-depth and vibrantly edgy alternative rock sound that comes across with a heavy metal tone but is also performed with a brutal gracefulness that is absolute fire.
The new EP The Flower And The Serpent has a big and powerful pull to it and every aspect of the songwriting and approach to how it's all laid out is precise but also done with a lot of passion.
This is a great example of a project that has a catchy style of heaviness that never loses that impact but also has these beautiful aspects to it that in the end, create something that latches on to you.
The choruses on most of these songs are absolutely gigantic and you can really feel that in your bones.
One of my favorite things about this entire release is the drumming because in a way it really is a step above and elevates the whole sound of the songs to such a level that you're kind of left in awe at times.
There are all kinds of bopping rhythms and sections of songs that, while they still have that heavy edge, are coated in a pop feel as well that makes things unique but also welcoming.
You also are able to hold on to these sorts of progressive and ambient sections and quick breakdowns that act as bridges in the songs which in turn make that next chorus that much bigger.
The whole EP is packed with this kind of intense songwriting that's all very well thought out.
This was definitely a very memorable EP and you can feel the different influences coming through during the course of these songs as you get washed away with that intensity.
A very in-depth EP release from Samiah here and checking this out would do you right.
