The latest EP release from Sandro Manzon is an incredibly colorful contemporary pop and rock record that brings together a variety of instrumentation and styles to give it a unique life of its own.
The Mr. Nothing EP is packed with acoustic guitars, horns, jazz, lounge rock, singer-songwriter, classic rock, and more.
The record boasts a very smooth feel and really grabs hold of you with its natural wind instruments and floating keys that all give it an almost ethereal sound and a warm tonality that you love by the end of the first song for sure.
The tracks are lush with musicl swells and hooks that are coated with relaxing and alluring vocals and songs can come off with an indie pop undertone a lot of the time as well.
The EP can get cinematic and even a little psychedelic here and there and Manzon's fresh approach to blending sounds and genres feels good to listen to with each song.
There is a dream element to the record and once it's over you feel like you have to almost step out of the artists world to get back into yours.
Tracks also get radio pop style in the vein of artists like John Mayer which also shines and showcases Manzo's pop side shine through well.
This artist can write songs in all sorts of genres and they all have plenty of passion and heart and that's part of why these songs are so damn good.
The EP is a great follow up to his 2018 album release called Visual Snow which also boasts more of his staple sound but also has some variations going on.
