Slowfade Drops A Radio Rock EP
Slowfade just dropped a fresh radio rock EP that manages to hit the mark when it comes to music you can get up and sing along with but still rocks in that alternative powerhouse kind of way.
The EP is called Shine and it consists of 3 songs that each show a very personal and hard hitting side while never losing that edginess and excellent production.
These are songs that don't blow out guitars or shred insanely. The power is in the songwriting. These are songs that stay with you and you find yourself humming them after you've heard them just once even.
They make sense and drive you. They do have a pop rock feel and when you turn them up you can tell this band has an arena rock vibe as well with songs that a crowd can sing along with at any moment.
You listen to those lyrics. You feel the hard rock in your bones, and you find yourself attached to the band after its all said and done.
Slowfade has that little bit of magic about them. The thing that makes you go and show your friends or that makes someone walk up and ask who it is you're listening to right now.
The songs have a way of pushing the envelope ever so slightly and just enough for you to pick up on the sense of realism and they way boundaires are let down.
That's what makes sense about them. That and they really have epic choruses and loads of catchy parts that you end up wanting to hear again. And they give it to you again.
To title track "Shine" is one of the best tacks on this release but the others like "Wasteland" for example come it swinging with heavy grunge sounds and again, that great songwriting that catches you.
This is a record to check out for sure and fans of that radio frindley rock sound will absolutely fall in love with it.
