An Interview With Sophia Warren
We recently sat down with songstress Sophia Warren to talk shop! Here is what happened!
Hi Sophia! Thanks for spending some time with us!!
TSWS: What is the most beautiful song you have ever written?
Sophia: My song Mid February. In essence, It's about an old couple and one of them passes away and, the one still living has to come to terms with their own mortality.
TSWS: What is the most difficult song you have ever written?
Sophia: I am thankful to have never run into that problem yet but, If I had to say I think it would be my song infidelity.
TSWS: What are you listening for when listening to new music?
Sophia: I have kind of accumulated a list throughout the years! 1. not a long intro 2. no cheap easy rhymes, and 3. Originality!
TSWS: What music played in your home growing up? Does that influence the music you create now?
Sophia: My parents used to listen to a lot of Coldplay, Nirvana, and Radiohead. I think it definitely impacts the music I make. I really like listening and studying Coldplay and Radiohead's lyrics and listening to the instrumental on Nirvana songs.
TSWS: How do you find your peace?
Sophia: Being out in nature and hiking. It really helps me recharge and clear my mind.
TSWS: Night owl or morning person?
Sophia: I've been a night owl for as long as I can remember. I always get my best writing done at night.
TSWS: Favorite guilty pleasure?
Sophia: Drinking coffee at night. As I'm doing it I know it's wrong but I just can't help myself.
TSWS: What is your go-to karaoke song?
Sophia: I haven't done karaoke in forever but, it used to be Rihanna - "Stay"
