Staytus releases an edgy single that digs a bit deep into the conceptual ideals of letting yourself succumb to another person, ideology, or even religon , and has that heavy rock sound the artist is known for.

“The God, The Artist, & The Creator” is a heavy hitter and gives you a glimpse into the mind of the artist.

“This song is about giving into the things that move you—sex, inspiration, devotion,” says Staytus. “It’s about letting yourself be transformed by them.

I wanted to show how desire can feel sacred. There’s a holiness in being seen, wanted, and undone by someone you trust" - Staytus

BIO:

Musician. Artist. Producer. These terms are often overused—but occasionally, an artist emerges who redefines their meaning. Staytus, the musical alter ego of recording prodigy Sam Grundemann, is one such force, relentlessly pushing the boundaries of industrial and electronic music with unflinching honesty and raw emotional intensity.

Her latest single, “The God, The Artist & The Creator,” produced by Grammy Award-winner Mikal Blue (OneRepublic, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz) and featuring Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, DEVO), delves into creation, faith, and surrender—melding melodic vocal expression with cinematic production and immersive depth.

The video, shot by Jessica Christian (Lovesquish), captures the song’s interplay of vulnerability and transcendence with striking visual artistry.

Previously, Staytus captivated listeners with “Kiss N Tell,” a dark, seductive collision of grunge fury and industrial precision that explored obsession, secrecy, and emotional reckoning. Other acclaimed singles include “Heart Attack” and “Headache,” both produced by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, 8mm), which examine themes of betrayal, burnout, and catharsis with visceral power.

Her Twisted Frames collection—featuring “68 Kill,” “Suburban Gothic,” “King Knight,” and “How To Be A Serial Killer”—was inspired by the films of Matthew Gray Gubler, translating cinematic tension into sound. “68 Kill,” produced by Matt McJunkins (A Perfect Circle, Puscifer), marked a bold reclamation of personal power and artistic control.

Building on the foundation of her debut Disease of the Mind and sophomore album Wasteland of Broken Hearts, Staytus continues to turn trauma, grief, and rebellion into electrifying sonic experiences. At the intersection of avant-garde production and fearless authenticity, Staytus stands as one of industrial music’s boldest and most visionary new voices—cinematic, visceral, and unapologetically her own.
