A Fresh Release From Stefan West
A new single release from Stefan West brings out a lush and welcoming soundscape that hits a warm contemporary rock that feels inspired by the classics and with it brings just the right amount of drive along with a near-perfect guitar tone throughout.
"Take What You Need" hits all the sweet spots especially when it comes to a memorable chorus that remains bouncing around your skull for hours after the song is ended.
There's something vaguely cinematic about this track and also something slightly nostalgic as well because it's got this youthful vibe to it especially vocally and that's part of what gives it that energy that is such a huge part of what draws you in.
The other thing about this track is that it's very honest which gives it a certain character and persona that you want to get to know even more and by the time the song is over you feel like you have.
This also may be why the song is so connective as it does have that feeling of being a part of the soundtrack of your life at a certain point in time.
I think I've missed out a lot when it comes to certain kinds of music and it's really delivered here.
You get hints of Southern tones and most of this track has a bit of a summer vibe.
I think one of my favorite things about this is the guitar work because it's been a while since I've heard songs with actual musical hooks along with the vocal hooks or choruses so to speak.
So hearing a track that gives you some great guitar hooks is a real attribute to those classic rock influences that obviously inspired him as a songwriter.
Those guitar lines are also what give it that cinematic backbone from time to time and the song all in all just boasts a lot of life and vibrancy which keeps you right there in the moment.
Upon listening to this track you immediately find yourself wanting to check out more of his material which there is and within those songs, you have a little bit of different styles that show a little bit of the evolution of Stefan as a songwriter.
I always find that interesting in terms of being a fan of music. Being able to actually hear the evolution and change in a songwriter and how he evolves as a person along with the music is very interesting.
This is definitely an artist to keep an eye out for because I have a feeling he's going to be releasing more stuff before the end of the year and I want to be the first to hear it when it happens.
Check this one out as soon as you have the time, you won't be sorry.
