Stone Blind State Showcase Their Love for Heavy Rock

A blistering new single release from Stone Blind State delivers quite a juicy set of guitar tones and a super hooky riff that comes right in at the start of the track and pulls you into the song from the get-go. This single boasts a blend of heavier alternative and rock approaches, with an almost bluesy classic rock feel at the same time.

This is one of my favorite things about the song itself. The way it takes the old school influences and fresh, edgier approaches and puts those two things together for something that just feels seamless.

Now, this track is not without its bursting energy. It has a fierce and incredibly energetic approach, not just from the guitars, but from the drums, bass guitar, and especially, the vocals.

The vocals are belting and really give off a powerhouse kind of feel to add a bit more drive to the song itself, not that it really needs it. Trust me when I tell you, the guitars and drums are enough to drive this thing through the roof on their own.

However, the vocals just add to that, giving this a fresh and close-fisted approach but still coming through with a kind of boisterous and vibrant sound.

This song isn't aggressive, really. It's got the energy, it's got the edge, the riffs are outstanding, the drums are slamming, everything about it is pure rock at some of its heaviest, but it's not aggressive.

It's got that heavy tone to it. The guitar tone has weight, and the drums push this song so that it's got a little hint of rambunctiousness peeking through almost at all times.

The vocals do an outstanding job of just giving the song character. It's loaded with this unique sort of Personality that shines through, and it really lets the song thrive and showcase its presence.

The guitar worked throughout this entire thing is just stellar. Aside from that main riff and a great bridge, there's some incredible lead work that just shreds it up, but still does so with a blend of technicality and soul.

It's damn near perfect. The solo itself is actually flawless. No even slightly off notes or fingers edging towards the frets. It's all spot on, but it still has heart and soul to it, and I think that's really why it hits the way it does.

The whole thing has a deep-pocketed groove to it. It's almost like it's a danceable alternative rock and blues rock single.

In reality, it's kind of a sing-along. It's a fists-in-the-air sing-along, heavy-handed rock banger that just showcases impeccable musicianship but also a real love for the genre and the craft.

The love that is showcased on this track is in the performance. Every element of the performance. Even the bass guitar has this great tone and can be a little bit slamming at times. It's like everyone is just feeding off of each other.

You do get that live performance essence when you listen to it. I get that feeling with certain kinds of bands. Bands where the energy is so up there and the song is so spot on that it feels like they just did it in one room in one shot.

It makes you want to go see them perform it. This doesn't always work with all bands, of course. Some bands you can tell are more recording artists than anything else.

These guys don't really seem that way. It seems like they do an amazing job of portraying their spirit on record, but I'm sure in a live setting, they're just going to be monstrous.

The single is called "Electric Lady", and it is a fitting title because the entire song is laced with electric energy.

This is a song to play at a nice, loud volume level.

Now, if you're slightly unfamiliar with Stone Blind State as a band, then I would start with this track and go backwards through their catalog because there's another track released last year called "There She Goes" that's absolutely Stellar, and they also have a small EP from 2019.

To me, the EP from 2019 has a bit more of a grunge influence, but still really good.

I feel like these last couple of tracks are the band just getting started. They're warming up, and they're finding their sound, and it's coming through with that infectious sound and energy that you can just feel in your bones when you listen to the song.

So, check this one out, turn it up, and leave yourself a little room for air guitar because that's going to happen.
