A Massive New Single From Themata

10369-unnamed-10-17514897775582.jpg

Actively aggressive new single from Themata recently dropped and this track shows no mercy in terms of its fierce and fiery sonic approach with gigantic and piercing guitar tones, augmented riffs, heavy underbelly, and ferocious vocals along with drumming that just pushes the boundary and not only drives the track but gives it this added liveliness and impact.

"Loathe" manages to blend together elements of hardcore, death metal, thrash, and so much more and blends it into this sort of deathcore vibe with rumbling tonality that's so gigantic that it almost feels overpowering at times.

One of the things that hits the hardest about this track altogether is the energy level. The energy is through the roof to the point where it feels like you're watching a live performance.

Maybe these guys recorded a lot of this track live on the floor because it certainly feels like everyone involved was just feeding off each other's energies the entire time.

The riffs are very inventive but familiar at the same time. They do breed a slew of metal influences into this one track, and the guitar work is a huge part of that.

The impact this song has is immense, and you can tell that these guys have a true love for their craft. When I say that, I don't just mean playing their instruments or singing, I mean writing massive songs together that hit like a sucker punch to the gut.

That is exactly how the song hits. It is a closed-fisted and aggression-riddled Banner that engulfs you and all the best ways.

I certainly do love how they blend in all these different metal approaches. You even have some grindcore in there along with elements of Hardcore and it's undertone.

The vocals are ridiculous. There are a few different scream approaches throughout this track, some being more high-pitched and screechy, while others are low and more rumbly. Both represent elements of hardcore, grindcore, and most certainly blackened death metal.

This is a track that's so powerful you have to shake it off when it's over. When the track is done, you have to react to bring yourself back to reality again because it's taking you to this other place.

You hear some great melodic approaches on those guitars at certain points of the song, and all of it remains edgy and haunting, but that's kind of the thematic backbone of how this kind of music goes.

This track never loses its intensity for one second.

I love listening to a band like this. When I hear a track that's recorded with this much energy and this kind of insanely driving aesthetic captured, it makes you one of those see them perform it live because it would be a complete face-melter.

This is what I would expect from a band like this. I want to have my face melted going to see them live, and I pretty much did just by listening to this track.

This was a little experimental but also held onto some of the strongest elements of blackened, death, thrash, grindcore, and more. So it did think outside the box to a certain extent, but people who love those heavy genres are going to grab onto the song very quickly. Now, as far as we can tell, this is just a glimpse of their upcoming EP set to be released later this year.

Judging by this song alone, I know I'm going to love this thing. I can't wait for this EP to drop as a whole, but for now, this single will keep me at bay.

This is for true lovers of the heavy genres. Others won't understand it. But for those who love really heavy, earth rumbling, ground-shattering, armor-piercing, in-your-face, aggressive metal, this is 100% for you.

Check this track out and don't listen to it at a low volume. There's just no point. Listen to it loud.

See what this does for you.
