Ugly Smile Brings Back Pop-Rock In All The Right Ways

Ugly Smile just hit us with a brand new single premier and it's got an amazingly 90's alt rock feel to it that comes through as warm fuzztone fun through and through.
"Cable TV" is insanely addicting from the bands raw energy to the vocal melodies addicting hooks even in the verses.
Think Weezer meets, Radiohead, Meets The Toadies and more. It's such a powerhouse of a track it's ridiculous.
This track has a way of embedding itself in your brain and will certainly have you humming it hours later.
A radio friendly indie-rock track with bendy guitars, passionate vocal performances and a driving back bone from beginning to end, "Cable TV' is one for the playlists especially if you love pop rock of almost any kind.
This single is up there with the heavy hitters and is airwaves worthy by all means.
The accompanying video is about as colorful as the song itself as you watch the band rock out and get a feel for their characters a bit more.
There is so much about this song that feels familiar and comfortable, almost like you've maybe heard it before. You haven't, but Ugly Smile certainly nails that aesthetic.
"Cable TV" is a wonderful showcase of a youth in bands that are writing songs that make them feel good, and that heart is slathered all over the music.
Ugly Smile is paving their way in the pop-rock arena and this is a major first step.
If we're lucky we'll get more from these guys soon. In the meantime we'll take "Cable TV".
The video is below and it's more than worth giving a listen.
