An Uplifting Release from Wendy Shay

12393-img0668jpg-17772245412485.jpg

A new single from Wendy Shay comes through with such an inspirational tonality that feels so uplifting and spirited that you can't turn away.

The song displays a beautiful blend of afrobeat and pop, alongside soulful vocals and amazing cultural flair that all come together and create something that has a particular kind of atmosphere and certainly a cinematic feeling backbone.

"One Goal" is a single that feels good to listen to, simply because it's got a strong message behind it.

The song feels like an understanding. That understanding is that if we stand as one, we can conquer all.

It doesn't matter what nation, what country, what kind of people you are; if we join together, there's nothing that can stand in our way.

All people as one is a brilliant and very warm sentiment, and something that I feel like a lot of us think about but don't really know how to put out there into the world.

This is why it's important to have artists like Wendy to speak for us.

Many of us have all kinds of moments where we feel inspired to get up and tell everyone that we should just stand together and be one people. Of course, a lot of us don't know how to articulate that into words, let alone words in music, so when we hear songs like this, it automatically connects with us.

At least, we feel like we're not alone in that understanding, and that other people out there with the ability to put something together that puts that statement into the world are out there.

The song has a beautiful sort of synth pad in the background that adds vastness and atmospheric elements to the track so that it's ambient and spacious. You're able to fall right into that because it helps the emotional aspect of the song as well.

The texture of the instrumentation is beautiful because the afrobeat element of it is very percussive, which blends with the synth pads and cinematic undertone amazingly.

The percussion also gives you a little drive. It adds a little bit of a push to the song, and this is important because again, the song has a spirited feel. When you have that kind of Spirited tonality, it makes you want to stand up and do something. The percussion of this single is the part of it that really what's that come through with such brilliant vibrancy.

I like songs that make me want to get up and do something. Songs that make you think or feel are really important in this world, and not everyone puts them out there like this.

Her vocals are somehow soothing but still powerful at the same time. The tone of her voice is very smooth, and she's got a lot to say lyrically so when you put those elements together, you have something that gets you full attention.

Beautiful melodic harmonies and hooks are laced throughout this track, and they're so addictive.

This is a single with layers to it. All those tones and textures come together amazingly and create something that is robust.

You can hear the natural knack that Wendy has for harmonizing her vocals and how she can create such incredibly lush sounds by layering those on and giving you something that feels colorful and big.

This was beautifully done and certainly a song that not only grabs your attention, but that makes you feel that little hint of fire in your belly. It's wonderfully positive, since such a boisterous message, and is all incredibly connective and even moving.

One of the things I love about the song is how it creates the right kind of mood for the lyrics. The song has an aesthetic that lines up with the intent and sentiment coming from those words.

So, check this out right now, listen with headphones so you can really take it all in properly, and you'll get exactly the kind of feeling that I got, I'm sure.
